Pat Caddell gave a fantastic speech to Accuracy in Media on the media and how starting in the 1980s they stopped holding both sides to the same level of accountability. He focuses a fair amount on Benghazi-gate but also mentions a few other things including the media’s silence on David Plouffe receiving $100k from an Iranian front group for giving 2 speeches. Caddell totally nails it by saying that the media has now become a danger to America and an enemy of the people.

In 1988, Caddell left the Democratic Party after an acrimonious lawsuit with a Democratic consulting firm, Caddell, Doak and Shrum. Republicans would often cite Caddell's tirades against the Democratic Party when they spoke on the floor of the House and the Senate.[3][4][5]

Caddell is a regular guest on the Fox News Channel, and he is listed as an official 'Fox News Contributor'.

Caddell is definitely a right wing sock puppet, but the line before his name is mentioned on his regular Fox appearances is always "Democratic pollster." Idiots on the right actually believe that.

He's been a busy little neo-beaver with some 501(c)3's & 4's lately, which purport to be non-partisan, but are anything but.

Like Secure America Now (SAN)

"...a hawkish advocacy group founded in 2011 by pollsters John McLaughlin and Pat Caddell. The group produces political ads and policy analyses in an effort to “inject national security issues into the public dialogue.

A high-profile “member” of the group is Devon Cross, a longstanding neoconservative activist who has supported a number of militarist advocacy initiatives, including the Project for the New American Century.[2]

SAN’s claims to bipartisanship are belied by its advocacy efforts, which during the 2012 presidential campaign included producing numerous misleading ads targeting the Obama administration’s foreign policy.
Secure America Now has been criticized for attempting to mask a right-wing, “pro-Israel” agenda with misleading claims about bipartisanship. For instance, in a report about a poll it released in July 2011 that purported to demonstrate ..[See link for details]
...
In a report about the ["laughably bogus"] poll...Eli Clifton wrote that although it was
officially released by McLaughlin and Caddell, it had been commissioned by Secure America Now, with whom the two pollsters appeared to hide their connections.

Secure America Now - Profile - Right Web - Institute for Policy Studies

These guys do a poll, which even the Washington Post called “laughably bogus”, and when ask about - McLaughlin said:
‘Pat [Caddell] and I worked with [Secure America Now] to do the survey. [...] They paid for it

As it turns out - Secure America Now, is them!

How's that for Hoot-spa?

Pat Caddell is hot stuff....
Love that guy.
But not in that tingly feeling up the leg sexual way that Chris Mathews loves Obama...

Notice they don't want to discuss the topic he is talking about

Just attack him

Because it's like a liberal coming in here, and saying, here, watch this David Brock video...in it he describes how poorly the media do their job and they are nothing but corporate shills ...
...he's a former republican! so you should listen him. !!!

Now, you tell me how quickly practically every right winger here (assuming they are smart enough to know who David Brock is) would laugh the OP off the thread?

You know the answer to that.

Caddelll is just a sloppier, creepier David Brock.

Pat Caddell is nothing more than a doughy pantload of Breitbart/Fox/GOP talking points. He's a sock puppet, through and through.

He is a former Carter pollster and he is 1000% correct with this speech.

"“We’ve had nine day of lies over what happened because they can’t dare say it’s a terrorist attack, and the press won’t push this,” said Caddell. “Yesterday there was not a single piece in The New York Times over the question of Libya. Twenty American embassies, yesterday, are under attack. None of that is on the national news. None of it is being pressed in the papers.”

It seems the republicans are getting their excuses ready.

I disagree. 20 embassy attacks and not a word from the msm.

Come on even you brainwashed zombies have to see something is wrong here.

When they use terms like "Benghazi-gate" they've pretty much set themselves up for ridicule. Don't blame the media for the lousy campaign season, they're just reporting the facts.

It is their job to keep the American people informed, they have totally failed in that area. They should no longer be considered professional journalists, they are professional hacks.
