Yaaaargh they come fer yer poppies and yer gold!!! Perhaps fer yer life!

The drug-addicted birds sit perched in wait until the morphine-rich area is exposed by workers slitting open the flowers' pods to help them ripen.

Video shows them retreating to high branches where they gorge on the plants leaving them sleeping for hours - and even falling to their death.

In 2015 drug raiding parrots were reported in Chittorgarh in the state of Rajasthan. According to farmers, the numbers of birds raiding their fields are increasing with every passing year.

Save the parrot destroy the poppy fields.
I say we breed the parrots and enlist them in the fight!
That's a thought but how many will OD? You'd have to make sure there was enough of them to prevent total OD and make sure they have a food source when poppy's aren't in season.
The ones that OD can be sent to Meals on Wheels as replacement for their slashed funding. Everybody wins!

Since they won't have healthcare anymore soon, the OD'd birds can replace their painkillers

This parrot/opium thing could be a fucking game changer!

But then you'd have to figure out just how much drug per bird there is and the cost involved of the studies would make the whole idea not feasible. You'll have to come up with a better plan.

Pharmaceutical companies aren't going to be regulated anymore soon. No study needed! Everyone get's 1/4 parrot per day.

Some parrots are pretty puny. How do we know the old people won't starve on a 1/4 of a parrot a day?

That's the beauty of it. Every old person that starves will make the GOP healthcare plan even more profitable for the big wigs
