Here's a few shots I took at the Paris Auto Show back in September....

Another shot of the McLaren P1.

What looks like an exhaust on the bottom is actually airflow channelling underneath the body. The exhaust is actually in the center of the rear panel. Since the car is mid-engine (engine is just above and in front of the rear wheels), that makes for the shortest possible exhaust path.

This is the Hyundai ix35 Fuel Cell. In the U.S. you would know the ix35 as the Tucson. Hyundai is planning to deploy about a thousand of these in fleets in Europe. Copenhagen, Denmark will be one of the first cities to take them. By 2015, Hyundai expects to sell these at a rate of about 10,000 vehicles a year.

Here's the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG Electric Drive. . What a name. Anyway, it is an all electric supercar. The (4)electric motors provide the equivalent of 720 hp, making this the most powerful AMG ever produced. And it's not just a concept. Mercedes officially started taking orders the day it was revealed. I did not stand in line.

As one of my co-workers says "BMW is about to produce a front wheel drive sedan, clearly a sign of the automotive apocalypse"

Anyway, we think this is going to be the next generation BMW 1-Series.

One of the best selling cars in Europe. The Renault Clio.

I would rock that.

Clio's equally cute cousin, Zoe. Zoe is electric.

Remember Renault (as in Zoe electric car) and Nissan (as in Leaf electric car) are an alliance, both run by automotive rock star Carlos Ghosn (rhymes with groan).

Speaking of Nissan, their luxury division, Infiniti, showed this fuel cell vehicle concept. We expect that they will produce a fuel cell vehicle. We are not sure that this is it.

Too cool! Love it! :)

What Indian car company makes the sexiest sports cars? Tata Motors, of course. For those not keeping track, Tata Motors of India bought Jaguar and Land Rover from Ford several years ago.

At Paris, Jaguar introduced the new F-Type

I remember my parents taking my brothers and I to the Louvre' and the Mona Lisa.. My mother cried, literally.. upon seeing it. We then went to the Palace of Versaille where I became enamored with Louis XIV, the Sun King and began studying European history due to all of the magnificent art and culture I experienced while in Europe. Some of my fondest memories growing up.

Love Paris. Have been to many a VISCOM there, and would hop down often on trips to Gistel, Belgium when I sat on the board of a company there. Maybe the greatest city on earth.

But no lottery tickets!!! It's a tax on people who are poor at math. :)

Just buy the car with the money you save not buying lotto tickets.

The Jag looks awesome from the front and back but from the side it is completely wrong. Too short for one. Jaguar has always be a long, slinky cat. That looks like a kitten.

Now the Louvre has an exhibit on "The Apartments of Napolean III". I literally got tired of taking pictures. Totally mind blowing. I'll post some in an appropriate thread.
