Papa Obama's Potemkin Village or Chevy Volt Becomes Centerpiece of Smart Community

The Chevy Volt a total failure,
poor in sales and with a tendency to be highly combustible

it would be temporarily halting production of the Chevy Volt due to low demand, you would think that the evidence would finally be conclusive that the over-hyped, over-subsidized vehicle is a flop. The response by GM and lack of same from the Obama-loving media is worthy of continued criticism from those of us who have recognized that taxpayers have been bilked out of billions of dollars to produce a car that does practically nothing for the environment or foreign oil dependence while being unwanted by the 99% of consumers that can not afford, nor want the car. In fact, most 1 percenters don't want the car either.

    But fear not comrades!
We shall have our day with the Volt for Papa Obama!

A new Potemkin Village built on the Volt

OnStar and General Motors have become official partners of Pecan Street Inc., the country’s first nonprofit research and development consortia, where residents agreed to be part of a clean-energy smart grid test for sustainable living. The Mueller community, 3 miles outside Austin, provides a real-life lab for the automaker to observe charging patterns and how consumers and clean-energy technologies interact and support electric-vehicle charging. The project runs for five years.
    -----------------------------------------------------------

Granted, if one breaks down all the state and federal monies spent on this
the US subsidies of each Volt may reach 250K but this does not stop the Federal gov't by way of the Department of Energy
from flushing $10.4 million down Volt Village.

    Somehow with this administration
A Potemkin village just seems rather,,, apropos
