Panetta says Israel will strike Iran in March, April or May

We are first for peace, but while it may be the administration's call to do nothing, the nation as a whole would not care to see the Middle East erupt. I don't think this administration would follow being left out. Our finest hope for our part in giving Iraq and Afghanistan back to its people and out of warmongers' hands is that the Middle East would realize it is in their own best interest to declare a peace and leave our dear friends in Israel alone and begin acting like brothers to each other.

We have a model in the USA for people getting along. It may not be perfect for them, but the decision to live and let live might be considered the most preferable when the most treacherous warmongers there fall away from power or are pushed by their own people out due to a national headache like the one now being experienced in Syria.

Ahmadinejad and Assad should either get out before their war crimes get them in further trouble with the UN or start talking like peacemaking statesmen if they truly care about the integrity and endurance of them as brothers in a world of brotherly peace and mutual respect.

Nice sentiments, but a couple of thoughts here.

First, comparing Ahmadinejad to Assad isn't a fair comparison. Mohmoud is really just the front man for the guys who make all the real decisions, the 12 Ayatollahs who run the country. They approve the list of candidates and people choose from that list. So it is kind of unfair to compare Iran to a dictatorship when it is a limited democracy. They have elections, they have a parliment.

For instance, Mahmoud was pretty close to making a deal on the Uranium. They'd give it to Russia, and russia would process it for htem into non-bomb grade material. The guy who screwed the pooch on that one. Mousavi, the oppossition candidate who the west thought was going to be such a reasonable guy.

For Israel, the problem is that it exists and it occuppies land as holy to Muslims as it is to Jews and Christians. Israel is the new Crusader State, and it will probably end up the same way as the old ones.

My personal opinion is that when Israel attacks them they will get amazingly stupid and attack US interests. Now what Obama does is the question.

I almost wish Israel would just nuke their important nuke production sites.
Retired, does that then mean,Russia,China,Pakistan or India can then "NUKE" Israel...because by your logic and others it means they can.

Not a very sensible option because it leads to tit for tat response, why do some Americans think everything can be solved by the use of weapons.......this is a question.tl:cool:

Not forgetting Armfuckhead was voted against at the last election.....The Iranian people are pissed off with the regime......Save Israel,Save Palestine.

Ahmadinejad is a bully with a huge mouth and hatred for the U.S.'s coalition with 40 other countries in the intervention in Iraq. Assad is a bully with a big stick who doesn't care to listen to good advice in leadership matters. Murder the political opposition is not an option in the greater world with which Syria must coexist. Both of them cooperated in loading IEDs strong enough to maim and cripple hundreds of our troops trying to free Iraq from Saddam and freeing the Afghan people from Talibanis who supported AlQaeda's bin Laden, who undermined the American people with his attack on civilian people in the WTC.

I appreciate your understanding, but those two in my mind are still tweedle-deed and tweedle-dude by the nature and scope of their threat to everyday people living in the Middle East. If we leave it up to their people, they could wind up in a court of their former murdered opponents' friends, and for them, that would be a bad thing.

Their alternative could be to make peace in the world and lay down the artillery, telling Russia to go drill their oil in the arctic if they want a whole bunch of money.

Oh ok, Iran will just get their bombs...no big deal.

Too bad for you that they won't be allowed to get their bombs.....

Atom bombs- the cutting edge weapon of 1945. If North Korea can make a bomb, Iran will.

I'm still waiting to see how we really STOP them from getting bombs. I don't think an Israeli or even an American airstrike is going to work.

Only way we stop them from getting a bomb is if we invade their country, occupy it for a decade. Guess what. Ain't gonna happen. Last time I checked, we're broke.

How many Iranian scientists tied to the nuclear program in Iran have been killed in broad daylight IN IRAN over the last year. A dozen?
Most of the hits are from motorcycle riders planting bombs on the cars in route.
If Isreal can accomplish that in broad daylight in Iran knocking out ALL of their nuclear program is PIECE OF CAKE.
The Iranians know it too.
Isn't that a good thing Joe? Isreal fucks up the thug Shia butchers of Iran?
Of course not to you as probably 47.8 years ago an Isreali kid beat the shit out of a future union leader on a playground somewhere.

Fewer nuclear powers is a good thing. Lunatic leaders with that kind of power are bad for everyone.

Um, no.

First, I think it's disingenous to call the rulers of Iran "butchers". While they don't exactly have a sterling human rights record, they aren't the kind of genocidal jackass that Saddam was. (And we supported Saddam all the way up until the point he invaded Kuwait. Shame on us!)

Iran is kind of our own fault. We imposed the Shah on them when they wanted democracy. The Shah proceeded to murder any sensible guy who could have formed a rational government, leaving only the mullahs and ayatollahs.

If Israel is responsible for murdering Iranian scientists, then Israel is acting in a criminal way. How would we feel if Iranians murdered American Scientists in "broad daylight".

A few months ago, the Zionazis were claiming the scientist they killed and viruses they planted were putting the Iranians back years. Now they are shitting their pants that Iran is ready to build a nuke now and they have to strike if we don't and, oh, yeah, it's an election year Barry and you don't want to lose the Jewish vote.

Frankly, I'm sick of my country being played like this.

What?
War in the middle east puts oil at $150 a barrell minimum.
Gas will be $5 minimum.
And you claim "we would not care to see the middle east erupt"?
You have no understanding of the policies of the middle east.
