WASHINGTON - First lady Laura Bush says Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin lacks sufficient foreign policy experience but is a very quick study.

That's just what we need if McMumbles dies: a quick study.

You heard that right from the Bush's mouth.

She isn't ready.

She wasn't a constitutional professor for 12 years, a state senator for 8 years and a US senator for three year.

She was a mayor of a small town and governor of the least populated state in the union for less than two years.

Why the hell do you think they are hiding her?

If she was a Democrat, the right would be pissing their pants criticizing her.

First it was the old HP CEO. Now it's little Laura.

No comments from the true believers?:scared1::dig:

She doesn't know the territory just because she can see it.:eusa_eh:

Once again, since when is Foriegn Policy experience a litmus for President. Clinton, Carter, Reagan, Kennedy, Bush 43, guess what they all had in common. NO FOREIGN POLICY EXPERIENCE. Plus this woman isn't even running for President, she's a fuckin VP candidate.

True enough....she is lacking in the foreign policy experience department.

I'm not sure it's a disqualifier though.

Unless we want the folks we send to Washington to be retreads that have been in Washington for decades and decades....I believe we have to be willing to accept that not all of them will be foreign policy wonks and wonkettes on day 1.

Nothing wrong with a fresh set of eyes, IMO.

All those hours Obama spent putting staples in telephone poles qualifies him for the TOP job, though. All those times he voted "present" in the state senate and US Senate indicate to voters he has the decision making skills necessary to be commander in chief. When faced with a crisis he will be briefed by his staff and Obama can say "Present." When his staffmembers tell him he can't do that anymore, he can call his mentor Reverand Wright for advice.
