Palin Hits Back: Trooper Gate Likely Suffers Fatal Blow | The Patriot Room

Yeah, I know the worst kept secret in America is that the Governor will get a nasty October surprise when her political enemies in Alaska release their findings a week before the election, finding that she abused her power in firing a guy who would not fire a rogue ex-brother-in-law trooper. This thing has always looked to me like a bullshit case by Palin’s opponents who can literally find nothing else to criticize her about.

But it looks like Palin has a September surprise for her opponents. The Governor released some internal documents showing that the the fired supervisor was not only nightmarishly insubordinate and needed firing, he also needed a good beating. From Anchorage Daily News via Hot Air.

Rovian lies, all of it.

Surely if he can fake 9/11 and frame Saddam as a brutal, terrorist thug it is a simple effort by the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy to forge some timestamps on a few emails.

If Palin were truly innocent she would release her every internal document from her entire career even--especially--if she claims it is totally unrelated.

In fact she should facilitate the provong of her innocence by releasing her SSN...oh wait, that was already done for her.[/zealot]

wonder why she refuses to talk to investigators if it's so clear cut that she did nothing wrong?

Nothing else? What rock are you hiding under?

lawyers advise you not to

ahhh bull crap, are you saying she did not have lawyers BEFORE she was part of the McCain campaign? She was advised to cooperate by them and now she has clammed up...

This reminds of Bush, and his tactics used the last 8 years and this does not sit well in the LEAST, because of such....

Care

She's not refusing - in fact, she has said all along that she welcomes the investigation...

And this is not the only dirt we have on Palin. She's slimy. Her ties to that radical church, hiring lobbyists, abstenance only, anti choice, husband doing official work inside the governors office, meanwhile he's a member of the alaskan independence party, she kept the money for the bridge to nowhere.

She blackballs anyone that disagrees with her. Sounds like Bush/Chaney/Delay.

She was the mayor of the meth capital of alaska.

Top 7 Myths, Lies and Untruths About Sarah Palin - America’s Election HQ

1) Palin “Joined a Secessionist Political Party”

The Charge: Unsubstantiated Internet reports insisted Palin was once a member of the Alaska Independence Party, which critics call a secessionist political movement and supporters say is dedicated to seeking greater state control over federal lands across Alaska.

The Facts: Palin has been a registered Republican since 1982. There is no record of her ever being a member of the AIP, or any party but the GOP. Palin’s husband has been a member of the AIP in the past, but since 2002 has been a registered independent.

2) Palin Supported a “Nazi Sympathizer”

The Charge: “Palin was a supporter of Pat Buchanan, a right-winger or, as many Jews call him: a Nazi sympathizer,” Obama Florida spokesman Mark Bubriski was quoted as saying in a Miami Herald article.

The Facts: While mayor of Wasilla, Palin wore a Buchanan button during the sometimes presidential candidate’s 1999 visit. But Palin actually supported Steve Forbes in 2000, and served as a co-chair on his Alaska campaign.

I didn't mention these things. These are the issues you WISH we were talking about, but fortunately we are focusing on more serious things.

1. Palin's husband joined the AIP. She just endorsed them
2. She wants abstenance only when it didn't even work for her own family?

I'm not even going to debunk your bullshit list. Your list doesn't even disprove the lies. It just spins them.

She didn't support Buchanan, she just wore his campaign button on her chest. Whatever dude. :cuckoo:

1. Have evidence she endorsed the AIP? If he did join, are there any laws about folks a joining any certain party?
2. Evidence of this?

CP - Cut your articles down to 1-2 key points, and just link to the rest, please?

She spoke to them, wished them luck. That's like Obama wishing Aiers luck before he went out and blew shit up.

Good luck what? Seperating from the United States?

She had 5 children with a member. Her husband is a member.

People like you fault Obama because his father was a muslim but don't fault Palin's husband wanting to commit treason? :cuckoo:

Why don't you watch the news CP? I'm sick of proving shit to you right wingers who don't know your elbows from your assholes.

Everyone knows that Hollis French who is leading this investigation in Alaska is working for the Obama campaign in Alaska. Pam Ellis who is even on the Obama web page and Obama delegate to the DNC convention and close friend to Hollis French has stated as much. The subpeona list that Steve Branchflower the supposed non biased investigator created was turned over to French for his approval prior to Branchflower submitting it to the committee that sent the subpeonas out. One more thing in this investigation Walt Monegan has said in the local papers as late as Aug. 30th that the gov. never pressured him to fire anyone. So tell me here you have a democrat working for the Obama campaign that has mentioned the "October Surprise" before the investigation has even been closed and you still want to think there is something here?

Liberal Common Sense: Sen. Hollis French admits he said things he shouldn't have

Monegan says while no one directly demanded Trooper Mike Wooten's dismissal, he felt pressured to do so by Palin, her husband and staff. He believes his refusal to fire the trooper led to his own firing. Upon the dismissal, Monegan was offered a position as executive director of the Alcohol Beverage and Control Board, but turned it down.

So no one demanded he be fired so he felt pressured? Wait this it not what he has been running around saying in the last couple of days. What a joke this whole case is

Are you doing to stay with the lame, baseless attacks or actually back yourself up with real data?

Palin lied about supporting the bridge to nowhere, she lied about taking earmarks, and she lied to the public about her people not putting pressure on public safety.

Her church isn't radical, though someone who hates Christians might see it as so.
She has never been a proponent of abstinence only.
She kept the money for the bridge to nowhere perfectly legally, and used it for development, which means that she also met the "bridge to nowhere" objective, which is to open up new land for development.

Doesn't the left have anyone more challenging than yourself to cry their cause?

And I don't remember her ever saying she had eliminated earmarks altogether. She said they were out of control, and she would use her veto power to cut them.
Which she certainly did, admirably.
