Palin Exposes Politics of Climate...

The "Midieval warm period" can only be measured by trees existing at the time. Therefore, whether there was "global" warming remains yet another theory, depending on which part of Earth tree samples are taken. Your conclusions, Sinatra, by your stretched out chart, are based on computer-generated conceptual data only since such technology didn't exist that long ago. This article sums up nicely the fact that there remain many unknowns about past warming/frigid cycles, especially that one.

But if you choose to dispute the science regarding the earth being warmer then - you must also dispute the science indicating the earth is warmer now...

Given that American belief in global warming as a proven fact has fallen 11 points in just two years to well below 50%, and that belief that global is simply an unproven theory has risen ten points and the belief that global warming is natural and not man-made has risen 11 points in just two years are all clear indicators of a strong momentum shift away from the flat-earth warmer theory of man-made global warming.

A majority of Americans still wish to see reductions in CO2 emissions - of which I am among them, but appear to indicate doing so both reasonably, and largely independent of some global cadre of nations - although the percentage of those who think the United States should do absolutely nothing to reduce emissions has also risen by nearly ten points from two years ago.

Based upon this CNN poll, it appears clear the majority of Americans side with Palin vs Obama/Gore on this particular issue...

Only because the right wing noise machine, coupled with Big Oil financed propaganda, has once again won out.

Such projection comes from the same vein of thought as the birthers you know.

Paranoia will destroyaaaaaaa...:eusa_angel:

You wish to discount the science showing the earth being considerably warmer because the science is not "credible" - what then of the more recent science proving the earth has been cooling?

Hey asshole called Sinatra........wanna tone down the large bullshit? You do realize that it makes it harder
to read this thread, resulting in your point being lost along with it.

But then again, what else can you expect from a full blown retard?

dontcha you know that the larger the graph or words are in a post the more true they are?

It doesn't matter what Americans think about global warming....policy is not dictated with a popular vote you idiots. The majority of foreign nations civilians, scientists, and even leaders agree with the data that is available to all. Technically we are suppose to be in a global cooling period, based on past results. But the fact that we are in the early stages of large amounts of greenhouse gas pollution (mostly thanks to deforestation not cars) and that ice cores correlate with this increase is alarming. Sure scientists could use better equipment at measuring the atmosphere as it is now, but the important part of global warming is the ocean. Things like thermohaline circulation, PH balances, levels of carbon capturing bacterial sediments on the ocean floor...etc, things like that will tell you the most about climate in the past and present. I doubt you have to worry about rising ocean levels, that's just a gimmick that Gore latched onto, it's not even close to the real trouble the earth faces if in fact we can not lower our emission output.

Now we have the technology now to actually SEE what's going on from satellite images. Hello?

Seriously? Isn't it odd, then, that within minutes of posting online of those emails, the right wing noise machine went into full-throttle attack mode. It was exactly the type of fodder they so desperately needed to "justify" their extremely inaccurate assessment that global warming is just a hoax.

While MSM is busy 90% of the time doing their JOB of investigating and reporting news, the RWNM manages to override anything else of importance so that what THEY are saying BECOMES the news du jour. The RWNM no longer opines, but it creates news, whether validated or not. And that, my friend, is a very sad commentary on America's media.

Not true - you don't even appear to know the conditions surrounding the emails being made public, nor the initial response.

What is UAH? Nevermind. Your graph shows TEMPERATURE variations. TEMPERATURE has zero to do with global warming or cooling trends.

Oh Gawd...so much science, so little time. Maybe you can take a little time out, Sinata, and browse through this simple Q&A which will debunk many of your concerns, unless of course, you're more willing to believe a bunch of anonymous emails ahead of NASA, NOAA, and hundreds of other independent research calculations.

Yeah, I get about as excited over blog inputs as I do input you post here. I would say that almost all civil authorities, as well as international voices of concern recognized that release of those emails was perfectly timed to coincide with the international summit in Copenhagen, and OF COURSE they wanted to derail what would obviously become a scandal because of all the ignorant and gullible naysayers who would rather drown in their own spittle than admit they might someday drown by erosion due to rising sea levels. Why wouldn't the UN recognize the timing of this as a diabolical plot?
