Palin Attacks: Obama's Hostility to Business is Preventing Job Creation

The latest rightwing myth. They tried to convince us that Clinton was anti-business too, and the stock market went up 200% over the course of his presidency.

Stock market is LOWER for the eight disastrous years of Bush, and not a peep of 'Bush is anti-business!!' do you hear.
Who has been in charge now for the last 3 1/2 years and no sign of progress?

Grow up. You want to blame the last 2 years of Bush's disastrous presidency on the Democrats?

Fine. Then all you Reagan worshipers (including Palin herself) can give the Democratic Congress HE had ALL the credit for EVERYTHING good you claim Reagan did.

Deal?

Sarah Palin reminds me of that dude Baghdad Bob. Bombs going off in the background while he was having a news conference claiming American troop infidels were not in Baghdad.
She is the Princess Diana of conservative PR.

Very interesting column.

There are two related reasons for this. The first is the growing perception among those who run businesses that the Obama Administration is simply hostile to business and free markets. They look at Obama's nationalization of the student loan program, GM, Chrysler, banks, and myriad other examples of Obama's open hostility to free-market capitalism. The perception among business owners, large and small, is that Obama thinks he has ultimate authority over how they run their firm and how much money, if any, they are permitted to earn. The other day billionaire publishing and real estate tycoon Mortimer Zuckerman, whose political contributions mainly flow to Democrats, took Obama to task for the dismal business outlook his policies and rhetoric have created. Speaking to the usual Obama acolytes on MSNBC's Morning Joe, he referred to the Obama Administration as "the most hostile administration to business, and the role of business, that we've had in decades":

Conservatives4Palin.com: Governor Palin: Uncertainty Created by Obama's Hostility to Business is Preventing Job Creation

This is all perfectly conforming to the rightwing script I've talked about many times. Whenever something bad is going on, the mission of the rightwing propaganda machine is to manufacture some narrative that blames it on Democrats, liberals, etc.

It happens with EVERY such event. EVERYTHING bad that has ever happened in recent memory, the right has made up a story that blames it on the left.

That is what they do; that is what they are.

Heads up Pard - Mort Zuckerman is an east coast liberal - and even he is digusted with Obama's idiotic attack on American business. You silly attempts to spin Obama's failures as some "right wing conspiracy" have been proven laughable - but thanks for that laugh at any rate.

Now try to keep up kid...

She is the Princess Diana of conservative PR.
And she would still be a better President than Obama. You betcha'!

Mort Zuckerman is one of the most prominent pro-Israel advocates in this country and now has a bone to pick with Obama because the president hasn't sufficiently kissed Israel's ass in the last 18 months.

Maybe someone here can actually list what Obama has done that can be considered inordinately hostile to business.

I don't think you people know what 'hostile to business' even looks like.

Putting a moritorium on Oil and Gas Drilling is one of them when there was no need too. That has effected over 100 thousand people alone. Also Obama wouldn't step in back in August of 2009 to help farmers who had their water turned off over a 2 inch minnow in California. Eighty Thousand were put out of work. Another is Obama cancelled the NASA Constellation Program and the Heavy Lift Ares Rocket that was to be the Shuttle replacement that would take Americans back to the moon. That caused around 89 thousand jobs lost as well as future contracts of companies that made components for the vehicle. He cancelled the F-22 program that cost tens of thousands of jobs and the loss of contracts with other companies. Do you want me to get into what healthcare will do to businesses or cap n trade if he chooses to go that route? What about the 10% tanning bed tax imposed on small privately owned businesses. Usually that has been a good fresh start up business for young people to get into. They are already hurting since the tax went into effect last month.

Sarah Palin's single most significant act, in the area of government's relationship to business, in her brief tenure as governor,

was to impose a windfall profits tax on Alaska oil producers,

and she's calling Obama the one who's anti-business??!! lolol

I guess if he raised business taxes then she'd cheer him for pursuing the Palin model for being pro-business...

...Palin fans are quite possibly even more stupid than she is.

In fact, I've yet to hear a Palin fan deny that.

Sarah Palin is the biggest redistributor of wealth in the country. Each citizen of Alaska gets a check from that oil tax.
You betcha!

Hmmmmm.....sounds like Socialism to me!

Yeah but that "Socialism" only applies to the residents of Alaska.

Hell. I wish we had oil wells down her in Florida and I could get a peice of that "Socialism".

You betcha. LOL

We need to stop the partisan attacks and go to the roots of the problem. The corruption of the people.

We have an oil spill in the Gulf that is destroying an entire region of our country and have no way to stop it, in case you hadn't heard. It was caused by a blowout of a deepwater well, in case you haven't heard.

You don't continue doing something that you can't fix if something goes wrong.

Cutting government spending is HOSTILE TO BUSINESS now?

We'll see if you say that the next time some Republican starts talking about smaller government.

So 50 bucks spent at the tanning salon would now be 55 bucks? And THAT is your case that Obama is inordinately hostile to business? lol

There were 51 billion dollars worth of business tax cuts in the stimulus bill, that YOU I'm guessing, opposed. You seem more hostile to business than Obama is.

Obama is trying to pass financial reform to fix problems that caused the financial meltdown. How hostile to business was the financial meltdown? And you, I'm guessing, oppose financial reform.

Oh....so SOME Socialism is OK? Even if it is from the Tea Bagger darling Caribou Barbie's home state? I REALLY need to get a cheat sheet for the "rules of conservativism"...

They are fixing the spill in case you haven't heard. They are also learning HOW TO FIX A DEEPWATER SPILL in case you haven't heard.

You can bet your ass if it ever happend again, God Forbid, then they will know what steps to take TO FIX IT.

So why is Obama letting the Bush tax cuts expire?
