If government doesn't take some kind of action to deal with the increasing rate of homelessness some parts of the U.S. will start looking like Calcutta. I believe some concern should be shown for those homeless persons who are down on their luck and are capable of inhabiting temporary accommodations in a peaceful, civilized manner.

Such accomodations were set up by government during the Depression in the form of tent camps which were monitored for cleanliness and cooperative, lawful conduct. Those individuals who could not live by the rules were evicted. An example of these camps is described in John Steinbeck's, The Grapes of Wrath, and seen in the classic 1940s film adapation.

We have two choices:

1. Democrats - rebuild American infrastructure, education, jobs training, low cost business loans.

2. Republicans - let them die.

The two choices couldn't be more clear. The next move belongs to the American People. Unless that "voter suppression" wins. Then our only solution will be "let them die".

How many homeless people have you two taken in?

There could be a third if we are not careful:

Option one has existed for an entire generation +.
Guess what, we still have the homeless.

I'm ready to try option two.

Stimulus = Fail.

You need to wake up.

You need to wake up.

Over a hundred Republican congressmen and senators who voted AGAINST the stimulus took hundreds of millions of dollars and created thousands of jobs they took credit for.

You sit in front of the Internet. Learn how to use "Google". Republicans are counting on the ignorance of the ignorant. And hoping they stay that way.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. ...

The problem is Republicans don't like education. Which is why they slash funding for education, preferring to give tax breaks to people too wealthy to care.

Because they have no strategy or ideas, charity is their only solution.

I am a Democrat because I believe in helping those in need. All of us, you and I, have an obligation to those less fortunate. You go first, okay? I'm a little short this week.

So -- you haven't personally helped anyone. And you're pretending that's a superior moral position. Typical.

I believe in teaching a man to fish. You want to confiscate his fishing pole, make it illegal for him to buy bait, and keep him dependent on a daily fish from the government.

That's because you don't actually give a shit about people. You just want to keep Democrats in pwer.

And it's Bush's fault.

According to Obamabots.

Right, derp?

. . . because of the economic ruin perpetrated by the previous administration.

Did the current administration engineer an unlawful, unnecessary invasion and fail to budget for it?

Did the current administration reduce taxes on the upper income brackets at the same time as launching that ruinously costly military aggression?

Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, Levin, and other right wing propagandists are feeding you bad information. You need to learn some facts. I criticize Obama for a lot of things but the economy is not his fault.

Bush inherited an economy in good shape with a projected surplus. He left Office with an enormous deficit and two major military operations underway.
