Pro-choice protestors at a Repeal the Eighth demonstration

The Eighth Amendment to the Constitution of the Republic of Ireland stipulates that termination of a pregnancy is only permitted in very limited circumstances.

Abortion is also illegal in the North of Ireland as the 1967 Abortion Act, which legalised abortion in England, Scotland and Wales, never applied to the North.

Roughly 12 women a day from the island of Ireland have abortions in England and Wales.

Apparently those women aren't very smart. Preventing pregnancy is about the easiest and cheapest thing one can do....even liberal democrat women can do.

Modern women DEMAND the "right" to copulate, indiscriminately and without precautions, mainly with men who have no intention of assuming paternal responsibility. And when the normal and natural result of such copulation manifests itself in an embryo, they DEMAND the right to kill it, as though its existence were no more significant than that of a wart or pimple.

No, wait. I'm sure they were all rape victims.

This has NOTHING TO DO WITH RELIGION. Killing is morally and ethically wrong, even if the victim is personally unable to protest. People who would recoil in horror at the thought of infanticide have no qualms about killing a normal, healthy, viable baby who, if nature were allowed to take is course, would be born in the near future.
