Bishop faces backlash after tweet about Pride Month

The Left often lies about the position of Christians (mainly Roman Catholics) on homosexuality, a position that is not particularly difficult to articulate or understand. Indeed, "Hate the sin; love the sinner," predates any of the contemporary discussion about homosexuality, AIDS, sodomy laws, or any of it.

The Church recognizes that some people are born with an innate sexual attraction for people of the same gender, but has always maintained - based on clear Bible teachings and implications - that homosexual sodomy is a serious ("mortal") sin. It is analogous to the sexual attraction that a married man may have for a woman who is not his wife. One cannot demonize the attraction itself, but the behavior is verboten, and should be condemned.

We are all God's children, and Jesus admonishes us that we must "love" everyone, regardless of their sins or inclinations. Indeed, those with a strong inclination to sin are worthy of even more of our sympathy and support. In no way is it "hateful" to promote the virtue of sexual normality: Sex is beautiful and appropriate ONLY within the confines of [heterosexual] marriage.

So we have the phenomenon of "Gay Pride." Gay pride events overtly promote homosexual sodomy. They idealize interpersonal relationships and interactions that are largely founded on deeply sinful practices. Morally, they are equivalent of the old "swingers clubs," where married couples would go to a retreat of some sort and trade partners...exulting in adultery.

So we have a Roman Catholic Bishop guiding his "flock" to avoid and not give support of any kind to local "Gay Pride" events. It is not "hateful" for him to provide this teaching. It is completely consistent with Catholic teaching and more than two thousand years of history.

There is no subculture in American society right now that is more aggressively vile, spiteful, vindictive, and intolerant than the Gay Mafia. ANY public figure that says ANYTHING that offends the sensibilities of the Gay Mafia is attacked as viciously, publicly and harmfully as possible. This Bishop's guidance is neither new nor questionable. Indeed, it was appropriate and timely, whether you agree with it or not. Would anyone protest the same Bishop admonishing his people to avoid eating meat on Friday's in Lent? That's his job.

And of course, the Media are "all in" with the Gay Mafia...gives them a pass, even TAKES THEIR SIDE in their attacks, despite their intellectual and moral vacuity. Very analogous to the Media's take on baby killing.

If queers simply wished to be left alone, to do what they want in private, I wouldn't have a problem. But lately, they think that anyone who isn't gay, or doesn't wholeheartedly endorse their disgusting lifestyle is evil. That's OK. They will receive their reward, just as the Bible says. I'd pity them, but they made the decision to reject Christ and live in sin. They deserve what's coming.
