Get their asses out of the US.
Why am i not surprised this Administration would take this stance? 'President of the World' for ya i guess. Is it Election Day yet? Can't come soon enough. Time for a President of the United States of America.
In a development that should outrage every red-blooded, patriotic American, the Obama Administration announced that international observers in the United States cannot be arrested by state law enforcement even if the United Nations representatives violate state law.
As we publicized earlier this week, United Nations-affiliated election monitors from Europe and central Asia will be at polling places around the U.S. looking for voter suppression activities by conservative groups. Unlike Alaskas current passivity, Texas confronted this offensive intrusion by international observers with a warning from its Attorney Generals office: [G]roups and individuals from outside the United States do not have jurisdiction to interfere with Texas elections. The Attorney General himself also threatened that,
individuals from outside the United States are not allowed to influence or interfere with the election process in Texas. This State has robust election laws that were carefully crafted to protect the integrity of our election system. All personsincluding persons connected with OSCEare required to comply with these laws.
Elections and election observation are regulated by state law. The Texas Election Code governs anyone who participates in Texas electionsincluding representatives of the OSCE. The OSCEs representatives are not authorized by Texas law to enter a polling place. It may be a criminal offense for OSCEs representatives to maintain a presence within 100 feet of a polling places entrance. Failure to comply with these requirements could subject the OSCEs representatives to criminal prosecution for violating state law...

Obama does not have the power to stop state law.
Is he trying to?
Morons!
You mean they have no business observing republican election rigging in action. If they are doing nothing shady they would not care, in fact they would be proud to display their perfection of democracy to the world.
Yep, we're hiding just as much as the folks that don't want to provide an ID, when they show ID we'll let some one watch them do it.
When you start talking about "we" and "they" in regards to voting then you already have a serious problem, add to that Texas leading the charge to kill the voting rights act and your protestations sound kind of flat. Texas has a long history of screwing their voters, you are just going to have to live with the fact that no one trusts them at all to play nice on their own.

Outrage: Obama Admin. Says Texans Can
These international observers can be counted on to obey the law, but you cannot say that about the conservative groups that are the vocal opponents to allowing them around. Why are they defensive? What do they have to hide? A free and fair election should stand up to any amount of scrutiny.
Fuck you skumbag whore! You don't want UN officials there so they don't see the un-American voter suppression and intimidation being done by the conservative terrorist group "True-the-vote" at several polling places throughout the nation.Texas will do what Texas needs to do in upholding the law. Obama doesn't have a leg to stand on in telling a State they cannot arrest someone who breaks the law.

It isn't either "free" or "fair" when one political faction is allowed to insert their shills into the process. What part of that fails to pass the liberal filter you have in place? The UN group has been given orders by representatives of this administration to troll only for indications of "conservative intimidation", and only in states that have either enacted stricter voter qualifications or are considered 'swing' states for the number EC votes they bring to the table.
Why the fuck would they be in AK for any other reason than to intimidate conservatives? We sport a whopping THREE EC votes and are notoriously 'red' in our political leanings. Frankly, I am ashamed that our representatives have not taken a stand similar to TX.
This is clearly wrong. These 'Observers' should be sent packing.
It's BS and infuriating. How is this happening in the US. People on BOTH sides of the fence should be upset.

ROFLMFAO, you say I have a problem for using generalized terms, "we" and "they" and you do exactly the same thing. Who is "no one" and "them"? Also when you have Holder denying a law to a state that the supremes have already held constitutional using the VRA it's time to take the power out of his hands. He knows it will be overturned in court, but he waited three years to make the decision so Texas could not get through the process before the election. He used his office to deny Texans, due process and I hope he burns in hell.
Spoken like a true America haating libtarded idiot. The UN has NO business observing our elections.
Let me ask, outside of Texas (which needs to leave the Union), is it ILLEGAL to observe elections? Will I be arrested for observing?
If you want to watch an election go to North Korea. We don't need you to watch our elections.

A "storm in a teacup", at best.....
The reolution is as follows: Since the initial issue with Texas we've received a letter, both for Secretary Clinton and one for Texas authorities, from the OSCE assuring us and Texas authorities that the OSCE observers are committed to following all U.S. laws and regulations as they do in any country where they observe elections and they will do so as well in Texas, Nuland said. "To my knowledge [Texas] is the only state that came forward and said 'please reassure us that you're going to follow our state electoral law.' And they have now been reassured."

WTF does that have to do with Kobe's foot? The UN guys will be allowed to peek and inspect you when you vote in Texas.
You stupid bunch of wingnut assholes. You haven't yet figured out that OSCE is not the UN. You haven't yet figured out that our membership in the organization was signed by GWH Bush in 1990. You fucking morons are too stupid to realize that American signed treaties trump some tin foil state laws.
Now go and fucking secede, Texas. Good fucking riddance. On your own, you'll be back as part of Mexico in no time, and the Real Americans won't have to put up with your chauvinistic belief in your own exceptionalism.
