Does anyone recall: "Ask what you can do for your country not what your country can do for you" I can't see any thing that this congress has done for our country but dig us a deeper hole. Time is wasting and the intrest payments are not getting smaller on the Dept, that they seem not to be willing to deal with. I say out with them all. Out with the Democrats, Out with the Republicans and that includes the Tea Partyer's since that's who they want to afilliate them selves with. Which makes them no better than republicans. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that if we do nothing we get no where. They should have already made some sort of disisions even if they are wrong but they don't seem to even be willing to make any of the desisions that we must have in order for our great country to move toward a future. I would much rather pay ten dollars more a week in taxes to ensure our countrys future than to have it all fall apart as seems to be the case. and if I can pay ten then those top 1 percent can pay 500 if that's what it takes. I ask when you go to the polls the next election, Vote for the candidate that spent the least amount of money on his campain, As he owes the least amount of favors.

One said if congress worked for performance, they would owe us money.

"Throw them all out" is the new book out that exposes them all and make good agrument against them all.

Congress has legislated itself such a glorious life forever that it HAS to vote for the guys who pay them for life through OUR taxes because the guys with the money LOVE our tax money. And you thought it was poor people on welfare. Powerful? NOT.

I get it. We know (don't we?) that democrats were in the majority for the last four years and that they had a total veto-proof democrat majority and a socialist president for two years and they did FREAKING NOTHING? Now you vacant minded lifties are trying the desperate tactic that everyone should be kicked out even though there is a democrat majority in the senate and (still) a socialist in the white house. Be careful what you ignorant people wish for.

...I never can think of Judas Iscariot without losing my temper. To my mind Judas Iscariot was nothing but a low, mean, premature, Congressman.

I guesas it matters what you feel is best for the country. More spending and big government or a true deficit minded Congress and leader to get this country back on track.

I can't help but thing the new TP elected officials kept their promise to the constituents that brought them into office. They tried very hard to keep the spending at a minimum but they couldn't do it alone.

I'd rather see a whole Congress full of conservatives or Independents than see this bipartisanship fighting all the time. I just hate party puppets who dont even bother to read the bills they pass, or a Leader of the Senate not allow the bills come to the floor.

We have to get ready for austerity moves. That is our only hope.

The scum occupying Washington BEFORE the OWS people need reform indeed, but they have legislated all comforts and goodness for themselves where all of us, doesn't matter which party, can't stop them.

Oh, at the POLLS. THERE. Right. I have lived my life in two conservative states, so my vote except maybe for a city council gook here or there has never counted. Never. The only president I ever voted for who won was Clinton, and at the time I lived in Indiana, so I did not contribute to the win.

The whole system is farKed.

First, who the hell among the Founding Fathers said, "Hey, let's let Iowa and New Hampshire pretty much decide who's president"? Well, we throw in California and Texas et al, the BIG states. But but...those of us in bumfuk Indiana or Georgia...well, even the most hungry to be president hardly show up, and often, the candidates have the EC votes to be elected before WE even vote. NOT right.

Washington, all of the bitches, is fully willing to screw all of us, even you righties who support the high ranking righties for themselves and the same with the left. But the lefties get it, and the regular folk righties vote to be farked again.

Most of the righties are working, struggling folks. What do the righties in charge want? NO extension of payroll tax breaks for peons. But the gad millionand billionaires...well, hey, NO tax increases that they wouldn't notice. Righties...get a clue. Repubs are ungodly elite, and they do not care about their struggling, YOU. They depend on "morality." Go for it. And up your taxes.

I am left, but I actually am moral, Christian God loving, and celebrating Christmas as...God's birthday, not a make or break for corporations.

I believe that regular people who vote for the MORE screw regular people Repub party than the Dem party have a death wish.

But actually, I'm kind of glad I'm an old fart and have no kids. America is in some bad shape.

And the most recent hard to recover from HUGE bad shape, well, a goof GeoW was at the helm.

The whole system is fucked because the people you vote for don't often win? Really? I think it's your brain that's fucked.

Senator Bernie Sanders votes like a Democrat. He is a Democrat. Too many Democrats in the Senate have been bought by corporations and they start voting like Republicans. But if they don't start acting like Democrats, they're going to be out on their @$$es. Bernie Sanders, though, is a model democrat.

Ah, rag on me. I don't care. I'm one person who acknowledges that the people I've voted for are pretty much as bad as the ones I didn't. I haven't voted at all since the '08 primaries.

I think the extreme polarization might possibly be, and yes, I am imagining here but...an agreement between both major parties. Keeps the peons too riled up to demand they all get lost for being self serving criminals.

It doesn't work. To throw them all out only means you will have 535 new congressman who have no idea what they are doing and how to do it, easy prey for lobbyist.
