Our live stock herds in danger

Drill some wells.....develop oil from shale....build some refineries...build some nuke plants....use our own natural resources.....

Energy problems solved for the next 200+ years

One would think that even Dims could grasp so simple a solution....

One would thing that the fact that we have only 3% of the east to get reserves, and use 25% of the oil, would dribble down into some feeble minds. Oil shale? Every scheme that would develop that resource comes up against another basic resource problem. Water.

Nukes? I am all for building the fourth generation nukes, particularly the Thorium ones. But there is a problem of development time. And cost.

We presently have the technology to develop alternative energies, wind, solar, geothermal, wave, and slow current, as well as the nukes. It will take a mixture of all of the above to create a real energy independence for this nation.

Algea bio-diesel is a real starter in alternative fuels. Many sources of nutrients for the growth of the algea, including municipal sewage. Here is a recent example of a development designed for local conditions.

Very interesting. There is no reason with all of the technology and resources out there to not do something useful with all sewage treatment facilities and waste facilities. And all animal feed lots for that matter.

Heck even in India they use the septic systems in individual homes for methane to cook and heat with . There is no excuse we cannot be more efficient and less destructive to our enviroment and our own livelyhood.
