OUR GOVERNMENT IS BROKEN.

Our immigration system is not broken and it does not need fixing. And if it is not broken it does not need to be reformed. It worked in 1929 and it worked in 1954 when illegal aliens were rounded up and deported. Well we cannot round them up and deport 25 million illegal aliens? Yes we can. But it is not necessary. Enforce laws that make it illegal for business to hire illegal aliens. Those laws are still on the book and all they need is to be enforced. What about it is broken and how do you fix it? No one has every explained that because they can’t. What is broken is our government that refuse to enforce our immigration laws. A broken government needs fixing.

This is not broken and do not need fixing.

Federal Immigration and Nationality Act
Section 8 USC 1324(a)(1)(A)(iv)(b)(iii)

State and local law enforcement officials have the general power to investigate and arrest violators of federal immigration statutes without prior INS knowledge or approval, as long as they are authorized to do so by state law. There is no extant federal limitation on this authority. The 1996 immigration control legislation passed by Congress was intended to encourage states and local agencies to participate in the process of enforcing federal immigration laws. Immigration officers and local law enforcement officers may detain an individual for a brief warrantless interrogation where circumstances create a reasonable suspicion that the individual is illegally present in the U.S. Specific facts constituting a reasonable suspicion include evasive, nervous, or erratic behavior; dress or speech indicating foreign citizenship; and presence in an area known to contain a concentration of illegal aliens. Hispanic appearance alone is not sufficient. Immigration officers and police must have a valid warrant or valid employer's consent to enter workplaces or residences.

Under Immigration and Nationality Act Section 237 (a)(1)(B) which says:
"Any alien who is present in the United States in violation of this Act or any other law of the United States is deportable."

Hi Lil:

OUR GOVERNMENT IS BROKEN.

We disagree. The bought-and-paid-for politicians in Washington D.C. ARE CORRUPT 'and' they refuse to 'enforce' perfectly good immigration and employment laws already on the books (Wiki). That is precisely the reason WHY we cannot trust them to create any new laws that they also will NOT enforce. The politicians in Washington D.C. need to see our current laws ENFORCED, before we can trust them to draft any new immigration and employment legislation. Period!
