organized religion =government

Well, Religion has been proven to be the oldest and first type of Government.

As for types of government you listed, I dont know if it's either one of those.

Not really.

First because it wasn't the oldest form of goverment , secondly because you just couldn't stop yourself from editorializing.

Primative societies organizing around a religious priesthood probably didn't happen until mankind's agricultural revolution.

Generally, we see that the :priests" were the folks who studied the heavens and therefore who told people when it was time to plant the crops.

The power of those religions in early but more complex societies was based on the science of astronomy.

The whole thing probably started like this, because of the nature of man. Here you have the first communities of hunter gatherers living in thier caves. They need a leader so naturally it falls to the oldest, why, because he has lived the longest and can probably keep the rest of them alive. So now we have the first leader, and it is a cush job, you don't have to do much just tell the others what to do, and answer questions. Then one day while sitting around the fire someone asks, "Where did we come from?" The Elder, not wanting to show the others he doesn't have all the answers, replies,"God created us". A good safe answer, and it does several things. First it shows that he still has all the answers, secondly it gives him an unarguable excuse for everything, and lastly he ensures his position of power. From here organized religion will spring up around the world, for basically the same reasons. Along with it comes the first government, and along with that the first tyrant.

What really fascinates me is how the Father, mother, son trinity is in every religion predating christianity, and Judaism. If you look at the Viking myths, Egyptian, Greek and so on you finds the same story themes with differnt god names. Then when you look at the modern religions they mirror the ancient religious family structures along with their themes. For example Zeus, Hera, Hercules. Odin, Freya, and Thor. Osiris, Isis, and Horus. God, Mary, Jesus Christ. All of these ancient religions used the Life, death, reusection themes, along with the use of an afterlife, and a similar Heaven and Hell. Is it coincidence that the modern religions seem based off the ancient religions? probably not.
