It's been all over the news here for more than a year not to mention the state sponsored billboard signs along the major roads and highways telling people that opioids are addictive and killers.
Not only that, the VA no longer hands them out like candy, hasn't for years. In fact you have to go through a "process" to get pain meds after when they determine the initial need is over with say following surgery, etc.
