Opinions on this under reported event.

I read that but let's put this in perspective.

Here we have a situation where 5 black people are being tried for a horrific crime and then there is the Texas truck dragging incident where the national media went apeshit over it for 6 months.

If we can here stories every fricken day about how bad the white race treats the black race why can't we have some fair and balanced reporting?

My question still stands to other readers of this post...does this incident constitute a hate crime?

This was obviously a hate crime, and should be treated as such, just as the horror in east Texas was a hate crime.

And the people who use these horrors to re-inforce their own bigotry, should have their asses kicked.

Look at the last paragraph.
As a Headline - Black Carjackers Turn Out to be Brutal Murderous Thugs.
Is Just about as surprising as the infamous -Dog bites man.
Maybe
Four black carjackers stopped by white couple with handguns
Ought to be more newsworthy
Really
The newspapers have a simple motto
Have a snappy byline
Expect only a few of your stories to get published
Hop on the bandwagon when something comes along
Expedite getting your story in on time
And never, ever accept
Defeat, particularly in light of Arnie's newest reply to California's house
