Only this administration could call THIS a victory.

Then Revere is safe in that he will be tried like everybody else when he gets stupid.

Revere, the question has been settled, you get your opinion, and who cares?

What law says terrorists are entitled to civilian trials?

The Constitution only sets up one system of judiciary for trying criminals. It doesn't establish a separate system for those who commit politically motivated crimes.

Enemy combatants have been tried in military courts.

Where does the Constitution give authority for the government to declare somebody an enemy combatant, and where does the Constitution spell out any such authority for military courts?

Nowhere, that's where.

The whole enemy combatant thing is unconstitutional.

As I say be careful for what you wish you may get it.
Strict constitutional intrepretation will have many unliked consequences for many/most.

Most were captured overseas, for crimes not on American soil.

FDR shot them all the time.

The question was where is the authority given by the Constitution, not where were they captured.

And what does FDR have to do with any of this?

So the guy got a fair trial under the same due process of law you are entitled to and is going to spend life or a very long time in jail. How is this a loss?
