139 Banks failed in 2009. Now 203 days into 2010 there have been 102 bank failures. This is well ahead of last years pace.

119 banks failed under the peak year of the recession under Reagan.

As of 7/24/10, 103 banks have failed this year, under Barack Hussein, with approx. 5 months to go.
Last year, 2009, 140 banks failed, which was the highest 1-year tally, since 1992, at the height of the savings and loan crisis.
