School children and theater patrons are being wiped out by the dozens by nut cases using assault weapons. Sen. Feinstein has proposed legislation in California designed to ban the possession of the type of assault weapons used in the recent mass killings. A front page article in the L.A. Times several days ago noted that the Republican legislators in California are boycotting the presentation of the proposed legislation. Not one Republican will be in attendance.

And Republicans are wondering why they can't seem to win elections of late.

How about going after the nut cases?
Rather than taking guns away from law abiding citizens.

I would think the real reason Republicans cant seem to win elections lately is that we only hold general elections once a year and there seems to be a short term memory that prevents people from remembering countless Republican electoral victories these past four years.

As for guns, why do you seem to think disarming law abiding citizens is going to stop shootings?

Do you realize that Feinstein is a state Senator from Calif. and therefore can not introduce state legislation?

And yet its Democratic Senators that are running for the hills when ti comes to Fienbitches gun grab. Gun Rights is one of the few things Republicans are winning on, especially if Obama decides to push gun control.

You really dont see that?

Because it is stupid and unconstitutional. Thats why even dems do not want an assault weapons ban. Assault Weapons Ban Lacks Democratic Votes to Pass Senate - Bloomberg

How? The first things to be cut when state and local (and I'm guessing federal) money nooses are tightening are education, mental health and jobs programs - never goodies for the military, the rich or big business, of course. How do you "go after the nutcases" when you take away what little (and it is very, very little) mental health support available to them?

When will you people that like SHEEP follow everything the MSM writes as GOSPEL!!!
Tell me why doesn't the MSM get on CHICAGO where with the strictest gun laws 516 homicides FAR exceeding the 88 total killed by 12 Mass killing incidents in all the USA!

WHERE are the headlines about that EQUAL to just what was written about NewTown???

Google search About 23,200 results (0.37 seconds for "gun deaths in chicago"

BUT Newtown
an event that happened less then a month ago..? In one town ...
Google Search: About 63,900 results (0.43 seconds for "kids killed in Newtown"!

NOW PLEASE EXPLAIN why the MSM totally biased reporting about Newtown... but there 2/3rd fewer citations for Chicago gun deaths where 1,985% MORE DEATHS occurred then Newtown...

PLEASE SHEEPLE THINK ! WHY are the MSM supporting the Obama administration to take the last vestige of control Americans have over their government??
YOU idiots that are becoming SO dependent on Obama the Messiah to protect you ... grow up! Grow a set! Be adults ! Take responsibility!

Do you think anyone will take away THESE expenditures FIRST???
- spend $2.6 million to make sure prostitutes in China drink less on the job.
- $1.44 million in federal funds estimating the size of the population and examining the “social milieu” of male prostitutes in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
- Washington spends $25 billion annually maintaining unused or vacant federal properties
- Studying pig poop. The Environmental Protection Agency awarded a $141,450 grant under the Clean Air Act to fund a Chinese study on swine manure and
- a $1.2 million grant to the United Nations for clean fuel promotion.
- Amtrak snacks. Federally subsidized Amtrak lost $84.5 million on its food and beverage services in 2011 and $833.8 million over the past 10 years.
- Conferences for government employees. In 2008 and 2009 alone, the Department of Justice spent $121 million to host or participate in 1,832 conferences.

But I suppose idiots like you say these are much needed expenditures!!!

Using borrowed money from the Chinese to spend $2.6 million ON Chinese prostitutes... makes a hell of a lot of sense!!!

I agree that the Republican Party does not serve my political ideals, but neither do the Democrats. Both can and deserve to be tarred with the same brush.

Dozens? Link please.

Sen. Feinstein has proposed legislation in California designed to ban the possession of the type of assault weapons used in the recent mass killings.

Thereby ensuring only criminals would possess these firearms. Feinstein won't answer the question, so maybe you will: Why would you want to put law abiding citizens at a disadvantage when facing armed criminals that don't care about your regulations???

A front page article in the L.A. Times several days ago noted that the Republican legislators in California are boycotting the presentation of the proposed legislation. Not one Republican will be in attendance.

Why would any rational person participate in such bullshit grandstanding? It's not like Feinstein will answer any questions about the failure of every past attempt to deter criminals from possessing firearms.

And Republicans are wondering why they can't seem to win elections of late.

Sure...it's not like Republicans gained governorships in the 2012 election while the Dems lost seats. No, not at all...:eusa_shhh: And that 2010 "shellacking", why that's just ancient history...:doubt:

Your bias is overwhelming, your ignorance astounding. Good luck with that.

Its another witless liberal crusade for humanity ....As long as there is a cause to improve their sense of self worth....

Some of these are relevant. The rest are probably paid for favors for campaign donors. The pig manure study is important due to China's giant pollution problem. And what's wrong in promoting clean fuel? Also, tell me, what is the money listed above compared to subsidies, kickbacks and pork projects and loopholes for the wealthy and corporations? I think you're comparing peanuts to a bowing ball. Our priorities in this country are dangerously out of whack. But that's what we get for allowing a plutocracy.

Why is it that you think it should be paid for by the Federal Government and States?
Most Health Insurances covers mental health.
Medicare and Medicaid pay for mental health.
Making Federal gun laws to stop the mentally ill and law breakers from getting guns so easily, is what should be done.
Feinstein's bill is just a feel good bill that will do nothing to stop criminals.

Republicans must need a community organizing lesbian woman of color to lead them..... Because those "qualifications" matter......
