Hello,

I have one Question: which influence has the "Senate Foreign Relations Committee chairman" on the US-Government?

Thank you in advance and have a nice work-day.

The Senate FRC Chairman IS 'the US-government'...he works as a senator, yet has the additional-duty to chair the FR Committee.

If the Kurds remained within their borders and stopped terrorism in Turkey, could Turkey live with that scenario?

Yes Turkey has accepted federal style of IRAQ. What the constitution calls Iraqi Federal Region Kurdistan we have no problem. Our MIT Intelligence Secretary met with Barzani. Barzani flew to Washington via Incirlik stop. Allthough American airplanes do not have to stop fuel-technically after some Kilometers.

Talabani is saying he will cooperate with Turkey against PKK for financial help for his PUK party. PUK is in "Iraqi Kurdistan". Talabani as Secretary of PUK is in Bagdad in the South as he is also president of "Transistional Government of IRAQ"

AFter 15. Dezember, either Sunnite or Shiite will be President.

2 Turkish Flyfirms will start fly from Istanbul to Erbil on 18.12.2005 twice a weak. Turkish companies build there Airport, are building Houses. When Iraq is true Democracy Turkey will inflect this region with capitalicy.

Kirkuk/Kerkük in Iraqi Kurdistan will not happen. Turkey, Turkoman, Shiite-Arab and Sunnite-Arab, Syria and Iran don't want. And US-Congressman and US-Strategists hopefully do not want.

PKK-Problem is 5.000 Terrorist-Guerilla located in Kandil-Mountain North-Iraq.
We cleaned and clean PKK-Terrorists within our boarders. Their Head is in Island-jail in Turkey.
5.000 remain in North-Iraq and this time no Amnesy.

Iraqi Regional Region Kurdistan has 80.000 km2. Turkish-US consortium have 6.500 km2 "Oil-searching field since 2004. 2 proven Oil-fields and 1 proven Gas-field.
Norway DNO company drilled 3 Heads 16 Km away from Turkish boarder. Oil. They will drill 10 heads.
Turkish-consortium is interested to build petro-factory for Kurds.

We have contact in economically view with North-Iraq. Over economic we can prosperous both sides of the boarder.
All Goods there are from Turkey.

Kurds have oil in Kurdistan. They don't need Kirkuk which is world-strategic with Petro-chemical industry and other heavy Industry and a high-number of proven Oil-Reserves of the World.

This strong City with Arab-Shiites, Assyrians, Arab-Sunnites, Kurds and Turkoman should stay IRAQ forever to make Bagdad a succes-story.

Kurds shall participate in federal Iraq. Kirkuk they only want to harm Bagdad succed-story and going egoist independently. They are even marketing with Kerkük the Kurdish Jerusalem :halo:

Turkey is not 7th Century. Turkey is 2005. please read this then you will know it, too.

This comes from EU-Italy.

The Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) operates under the aegis of two United Nations Agencies and has a seat agreement with the Government of Italy.

In addition to the large number of social scientists, the Turkish Academy of Sciences also has a high percentage of women members. Indeed, women comprise more than 13 percent of the Academy’s membership, one of the highest percentages among academies worldwide. In fact, the global average of female membership in science academies is just 3 percent; in Europe it is 5 percent; and in the United States it is 6 percent. Among Islamic countries, Turkey also has a very high percentage of women holding academic posts – a respectable 37 percent, higher than in most European countries.

Turkey is in IOC. Islamic Organization Council with 57 Muslim Nation. Turkey presenty sends the GeneralSecretary of this organization.

This IOC is meeting 2 days in Medina /Saudi Arabia.

Look what Turkey says to other 7th century states through this organization:

OIC Secretary-General Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu, the first Turk to head the OIC, has been promoting an agenda of reform and moderation.
We do not have the luxury of blaming others for our own problems. It is high time we addressed our national and regional problems with courage, sincerity and openness, İhsanoğlu said in his speech at the summit yesterday.
We should fight terrorism by dealing with its roots and causes, whether committed by individuals, groups or states, İhsanoğlu said. Terrorism is a crime that every Muslim should fight.
While discussions during the two-day summit are expected to focus on terrorism, delegates will also seek to forge a plan to reform the 57-member organization in a bid to give it more clout in international affairs.
The future of humanity depends on this part of the world, İhsanoğlu said. What is going on in the Islamic world has dire consequences elsewhere.
Lack of moderation is one of the main sources of instability and chaos in the modern world, he also said. He stressed the need to combat poverty, illiteracy and corruption in the Muslim world, saying, When these issues are not addressed properly by legitimate means, they are used as an excuse to push for extreme agendas.
Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah, speaking at the opening session, also called for moderation.

It is ironic. But Turkey is the "locomotive of Countrieshaveing Muslim population" in economic, science, secularistic.
With Turkish Refusal of March 2003 Iraq-War. Arabs for the first time changed there View over Turkish influence and "Turkish secularistic model".
Nothing is irreversible, even not 7th century State-politics in arab States.

Iran is a different case. The world is better with EU-US-Turkey cooperation. Arab Nations will succeed too. But it takes time. long time.

Turkey is a secularistic country in 2005. Fullfilling EU Copenhague Criteria.

and you really need to visit us within our borders...My GD is very attractive...maintains a 3.5gpa in school,is involved in sports...wants to go into Law enforcement or the military when she graduates school...so how are ya all doing compared to real life...minus the tents and burkas...geez...and by the way she is also very moral! :lame2:

As "Canavar" can't seem to muster the levels of subject-verb agreement that allow me to understand what he or she is actually saying, I don't know what to make of this thread. But it's clear that Turkey seeks an alliance with Israel for whatever reason. One is that although Muslim, it denies being Arab, and thus seeks to distance itself from Arab-ism. Blood being thicker than religion, and so on. Kurdish separatists create problems for Turkey's government, and Iraqi Kurd-Turkey Kurd associations complicate the region in ways that are beneficial for Israel, that is, if Kurds can upset Arab power wherever found, that's good for Israel because it throws the Arab enemy off balance. So says Seymour Hirsch, the Jewish scribbler for The New Yorker. He's probably right.

Yes. I do not deny American Democracy or am comparing Turkey tu USA. This is ridiculous. I was not been to America yet. Maybe i will sometime, i will see.

Turkey wants to be compared to European countries. And even there Turkey has to go a long way to go.
But EU has attested Turkey to fullfill Copenhagen Criteria which are as follows:

* stability of institutions guaranteeing democracy, the rule of law, human rights and respect for and protection of minorities;

* the existence of a functioning market economy as well as the capacity to cope with competitive pressure and market forces within the Union;

* the ability to take on the obligations of membership including adherence to the aims of political, economic & monetary union.

Archangel. What should I say? You are here mentioning your GD and people's every day-life. How can i here explain 72 Millions people's daily-life in some sentences? I couldn't.
Burkas? No Burkas in Turkey, it is called head-scarf by us.

We have women wearing headscarves.
We have women that don't wear head-scarves.
women that do porno
we have women that was in 1996 prime-minister of the State.
Currenty a woman is head of the Supreme Court Judge.
And the woman in acamemic position is RESPECTABLE more than most european countries.

to William Joyce:

Yes you are right with your statement. But Israel has to choose whether Turkey or Iraqi-Kurds.
The only undestroyed- by human-hand- synogogue in the world is in Sardis, Turkey.
http://www.pbase.com/dosseman/sardis_turkey <--------PHOTOS.
Turks were the only people who opened their doors to the tens of thousands of persecuted Jews from Spain half a millennium ago. Jews from Russia and the Caucasus region were given shelter and onward transportation who fled their homes during World War II. Also, Turkey was one of the first countries to recognize the state of Israel when it was founded even angering her Arab neighbors.
Short-term interests should not cloud the logic of Israel. Turkey is a nation of over 70 million people, large, and strategically located. A country that sees its Future since its establishing in Western-World. Does Israel need to be a trouble-maker even for the only country that supports it in the region. NO it will be no troublemaker for Turkey?

Short-term interests versus Long-Term interests:

One proposed plan is the costruction of a pipeline to bring water from Turkey to Israel. Last year Israel signed a 20-year deal to import drinking water from a plant on Turkey’s Manavgat River.
The original idea was to ship the water to Israel using large tankers, but that proved prohibitively expensive. Instead, Israeli officials are suggesting a pipeline of plastic tubing that would be partially submerged in the Mediterranean Sea. Turkey is currently building a similar pipeline to bring water from its southern mainland to northern Cyprus.

Israel and Turkey plan $ 1 bn oil pipeline (alongside Waterpipeline)

William Joyce: In this media business, there is much much propaganda. From different sides. Clear is: Turkey and Israel have excellent partnership. Ankara and Tel-Aviv have a red telephone.
Some circles in the world oppose this partnership and would do anything to harm this partnership. Kurds in Iraq re short-term interests for Israel. Those Israeli Mossad agents are even travelled from Turkey to Iraq. Israel would not play Russian-roulette with its turkish partner. If it would, then Israel is shooting in its own feet.
