Nobody seems to be talkin about the elephant in the room that will be the big game changer...THE WILD CARDS....in November.

THAT will be the 20 million unemployed. This isn't 1932 with little media and no internet.

There will be no silent butt hurt unemployed like in the great depression.

WHAT there will be are 20 million pissed off unemployed or so regardless of what Obama gets passed to help or not and they will vote against those that have held back support for job creation. That old trickle down crap won't float in the toidy any more. It will be flushed.

If there is ANY major swing voter now it is the unemployed. Maybe not the numbers of the independants but at least half as many. And unlike any other group they WILL vote as a block because they ALL have something in comon.

If the numbers are going down, I don't see the Reps getting any traction. Saying the numbers should be 0.4-0.5% lower, doesn't resonate like a coherent plan. They got one?

Republicans repeated attempts to cut off extended unemployment benefits or divert the funds to other things has not played well among this group of people.

That's exactly why I think Romney's message of focusing on the 'middle class' Americans will play well. And, the difference between him and the O.... he has a decent understanding of how to get the 'middle class' back on track.

Those struggling most at the moment are not the poor, or the rich, it is the middle... and they will be the focus of Romney's plans. Which will play well to those who have lost jobs in the past few years.

Wait a second, I thought Democrats said that unemployment stimulates the economy?

What the fucking fuck?

When's he going to turn that "understanding" into a plan we can see?

Big 0 is the leader and he failed.

the constant "I can't make the Reps do shit so it's all thier fault!!" baby whine, while he's playing golf, isn't going to play well with people that have the slightest grasp on reality.

When you learn to comprehend his actual words, instead of accepting your media's spin of his words.

He's got to play golf. It's the only chance he has to talk to Boehner. You don't expect Obama to join him in the tanning booth, do you? What's he to do when a guy vacations most of the year? I can't believe that the people of Ohio keep electing him and we keep paying him. Hasn't he "occupied" that seat quite long enough? Help the economy. Put Boehner on unemployment.

He said something? Has he finished his vacation or was that a tweet from the golf course?

The economy kept getting worse until reps took the House, now it's getting a little better.

But that's just a coincidence, I'm sure.

My bad. I mistook you for someone who wanted to discuss Romney's policies. I see you prefer to stick to bullshit and spin from your media.

Actually the situation is similar to 1932 "with little media. The NY Times is still king of the hill even though it has become even more obvious today that it is a left wing propaganda source. Because of the slobbering support of the mainstream media it's apparent that Huggy isn't aware that democrats still run the senate and of course the president is a radical left winger. What do you get when 2/3 of the government is in the business of driving the US into 3rd world status with phony issues like global warming? You get a stalemate in government and a drift toward socialism. You can't get anything done even with a motivated republican majority in congress if the democrat majority in the senate sits on it's thumbs and does nothing and the president issues orders and funds hack factories that donate money to left wing causes. Every day the A.P. and the liberal media tells us that Barry's policies are working when we can see for ourselves that gasoline is going up to $4.00 per gal and unemployment is around 14% if the administration was honest about the figures and the liberal media cared enough to get at the truth. Who do you blame for the economic disaster? Barney Frank's banking committee had the responsibility to supervise Fannie Mae when it failed while he was telling us it was doing fine. Where is the outrage in the liberal media? Find Barney on his honeymoon somewhere with his new husband and ask him what the hell he was doing instead of making stupid claims about trickle down economics.

I don't recall making any sweeping claims other than the fact that nearly 20 million people will have a comon cause and they will be a major factor in November. As far as "14 percent" unemployed vs the touted 8.3% in the news lately.. BOTH parties have settled on using the same yardstick ..the actuaal number of people drawing unemploymnet checks as the official gauge. EVERYONE with half a brain knows that 8.3 is not the actual number of people capable of work still not getting a paycheck. Using higher figures is a false flag because there is no exact number and no way to tabulate it accurately. Of course there are many people in sub groups within the unemployed and UNDEREMPLOYED for the purpose of guessing how many will vote AS IF they are "unemployed" in this discussion. My guess is that the figure is closer to 20% counting people that are working part time..full time at minimum wage and the people that have just given up looking at all because they cannot find employment or will not accept a job that does not pay enough to make sense in thier situation.

Gasoline prices are not in the territory of a president's ability to control. Bringing THAT up will just infutriate the unemployed because they need jobs..income..not a primer on how to spend paychecks they are not recieving. Everyone pays more for gas..it is nothing the enemployed worry about more than anyone else. You don't have to worry about the price of gas when you don't have a job to go to.

What the modern day unemployed DOES know is that he or she is far better informed than in many years past. They have been on the internet. They have been watching the actions and non actions of congress with desperate eyes.

They have seen the leaders of the GOP call them lazy and stupid and any number of derogatory terms and with a lower sense of self asteem inherent in thier situation these terms applied to them will not be taken well. They have been treated as red headed step children and called "*******"..in thier minds.

One thing I'm pretty sure of is that the way that Obama's Jobs Bill was handled by congress will play out as it affects them from THIER perspective and they will not be forgiving of being USED in the GOP's effort to make Obama look bad.
