California conservatives may end up backing Feinstein for another term, when considering the alternative.

Kavanaugh chaos hangs over Feinstein’s all-Democrat Senate race

“If Republicans do anything in this election, they’ll try to keep Feinstein,” Dawn Wildman, founder of the California Tea Party Groups Coalition and the president of the Southern California Tax Revolt Coalition. “The last thing they want is de Leon in Washington. It’s a strategic vote to limit socialism.”

Wildman, who does a weekly conference call with conservative and Republican activists across the state, said, “after Kavanaugh, a shift happened, and a lot of conservatives were upset with Feinstein and the last-minute shenanigans that she pulled.” But, Wildman said, that anger has subsided after Kavanaugh’s confirmation. Further, many conservatives think that, at 85, Feinstein may not serve out her term, but de Leon, 51, would likely be in the U.S. Senate for some time to come, Wildman said.

I think Republicans fear for their lives in Californiastan.

California is a great place to live and work. Conservatives are just butt hurt because we are a liberal forward thinking state.

If it was up to the left the election of a US president would be run by the same rules.

You cannot gerrymander a Senate race you moron. Senate races are statewide.

It is a pretty state but hundreds of thousands are leaving due to excessive taxes and inflated housing prices.

Californians fed up with housing costs and taxes are fleeing state in big numbers

Indeed. The only reasons I'm still here are family and a great job. But mr. boe and I plan to be out of here within 3-5 years.

I am very tempted to vote for Leon as a protest vote against DiFi, but will just not vote for CA Senator at all.

There's choices in CA.
You have a choice between a Documented Democrat or an undocumented Democrat.

I thought we were already there. The Left fights and wins elections by intimidation and threats to their opponent.
A republican is about as welcome in Californiastan as a naked gay christian running through an ISIS encampment with a stack of bibles.

I just sent in my vote by mail ballot. I voted for the republican if a Republican was running. Where there were two democrats I did not vote at all. I voted no on every woman running for judge. I voted no across the board on every proposition.

The demise of Cali is greatly overstated...

What an open-minded soul you are! :21::21::21::21::21::21::21::21:

I especially like your view that women should not be judges, very forward thinking there! :21::21::21:

California changed it's voting laws a bit back guaranteeing that they maintain power.........Yet that state has been in the bag for a long time anyway...............Especially with the immigrant migration for the last 3 decades.................

Gerrymandering issue.............LOL...........they have by law Gerrymandered the whole state...........

Welcome to Mexifornia....................

So...you need it explained to you what an open primary is? Which, btw, is about as far away from gerrymandering as one can get.....it's a statewide primary open to all to vote however they want for that position.

Too bad Senators aren't chosen the way they used to be. I believe that system was better.
