On the role of the State

The purpose of the State is to protect and to promote the singular People and the good and culture of that People, No state which fails in this regard shall long remain a sovereign State at all, and its People will not long survive as such.

Yes, the thing here is the states have become the federal government.
Not to say the federal govt should not help, but the states have relegated themselves to a secondary role not the primary role.
