On the road to WWIII?

The recent news of Saudi and Chinese "security" talks has me thinking ugly thoughts, again.

IF:

i... the Iraq invasion was all about stopping Iraqi oil from trading on the euro

ii... the same is true WRT Iran and their plans for an Iranian oil Bourse

iii... Russia, along with the OPEC nations that want to switch to the euro do so

iv... the US dollar were significantly devalued and China and others decide to stop holding so much US debt

Do we go out with a roar or a whimper?

The US economy would take the world's economy with it, if that's what you're talking about. And if others started selling back US debt, we'd certainly hear a lot less about it on the news! :D
