Good question. I’m really glad you ask that. There’s a program called the chip program that helps American children that have various illnesses. So Republican Mitch McConnell put out a tweet giving a false choice. Republicans let the chip program expire so they could use those sick children as bargaining chips. Mitch McConnell gave us the choice of either helping the 800,000 dreamers or helping 9 million sick American children. That way he could say that Democrats either refused to help American children or they didn’t care enough about the dreamers to help them.

What's your source for sick foreign kids getting more help than American kids?
Did you notice that the notifications went out to the sick foreign kids quietly and it was public opinion that caused a national uproar. Trump sat on it until the last day then jumps in like John Wayne leading a cavalry charge and saving the day. He didn't need to torture these families, but it's great showmanship to his fans who jumped onto the policy complaining about how their wallets are affected for UGH! foreigners! I expect that tune has changed by now.
