OMG Noam Chomsky Says Sarah Palin was right about Obama

Chomsky? Who but the wingnuts pay any attention to him?

Liberals used to, til they got offended by accurate criticisms.

Now it's parrot Obama, or you're the enemy.

Who payed attention to him? I don't recall liberals ever quoting him. He's always been quoted by the right. I think you've been fooled by your own strawman!

Paying attention to what he's actually saying causes that.

You don't quote someone who you don't understand, usually.

Obama believes honesty is a liability in politics, so knowing what he's said and comparing it to his actions is the best way to bring an indictment against him.

He has hundreds of references on wikipedia, and everyone in the academia world pretty much agrees that he's a genius. People often disagree with him, I'm one of them, but no one can doubt how smart he is.

So basically educated people have paid attention to Chomsky during his career.

Now that both parties have teamed up and agreed warmongering is the way to go, both are against Chomsky.

Hell's frozen over and heads are exploding at DU and Daily Kos.

This is wild!

Probably the last person you’d expect to cite Sarah Palin favorably is Noam Chomsky. Yet in an interview with the Leftist news organization Democracy Now, Chomsky did precisely that, saying Palin was right to mock Obama for his lack of substance.

“I don’t usually admire Sarah Palin,” Chomsky said, “but when she was making fun of this ‘hopey changey stuff,’ she was right, there was nothing there.

ETA: for you libs who are afraid to go to the Blaze for fear it might give you cooties, the original link for the Noam Chomsky piece is at the National Review.

Hope this works for you.

I'm flabbergasted by this statement.

I bet you think Obama's an honest politician too.

I've read "What we say, goes"..and have watched Chomsky thoughout my lifetime on the tube.

It's a little silly of you to get personal about this, as well.

Chomsky..as I've said..gets the history right..most of the time.

It's just that I don't agree with his conclusions. Alot of US policy is a reaction to some very messy geopolitics. It's not the result of some grand conspiracy to rule the world.

In all seriousness, there is a socialist movement to rule the world's economy.

Not "rule". But take over certain functions.

Whether or not you want to come to grips with it..the US Constitution is radically far more "socialist" then what proceeded it. As was the "idea" of a parliament and the Magna Carta was in the 13th century.

Takeover, rule. Same thing.

As long as it's still legal to bet on falling economies billionaires like Soros will try to takeover and crash world economies.

I remember the days when anyone who wanted to be president would be laughed out of the race if they had ties to people like Soros. Now we have people supporting candidates like this.

Guess this is what happens when you allow people who hate this country to come here and teach our kids.

Now we actually have Americans that think that the US is evil because of what has made us one of the most productive societies in the world.

Why are we so productive? Because we have the money to do it. In socialists societies much of what we produce here never would happen simply because the government grabs up all of the extra cash and uses it the way it sees fit. With this kind of society you wouldn't even have a full-fledged movie industry or a music industry. Television programming wouldn't be what it is today. Go to any other country and the viewing choices are poor in comparison.

Now I know some will say that's good. Perhaps, but then again if you think about it, opportunity isn't the same in other countries as it is here. Anyone who moves here can tell you that.

At one time our kids were taught to believe that their future could be better if they just applied themselves. Now they're taught that any future they have depends on what Washington decides it will be. The media tells us how to think, when to think, and tells us what we can think about. Abuse of the airwaves is one of the greatest threats to a free society I've seen in my lifetime. I've been in countries where the government controls all information that gets to the public. They're 3rd world countries yet they think the President or the government is out to take care of them. In those countries it's not businesses that are getting over, but the government. Imagine having to live in one of those countries. Yet I read about some who think that OUR societal norms are abusive.

National Review? Isn't that a wingnut magazine?

...as opposed to CBS News or The New York Times???? Mainstream journalism bastions that have have been outed as forgers and liars. Neither Dan Rather nor Jayson Blair work at National Review.

Obama is center right much like Bill Clinton, the left criticize him because he is too far right of what he promised and the right hate him because he is black and has a D in front of his name.

Can I call someone for you? Do you have people that care for you that can get you to a hospital?

Seriously, I'm kind of concerned here.
