OMG...Biden gets pissed

From the flip flop files.

John McCain, in 2000 when he was a Socialist, explaining to students at a town hall meeting why he supported a progressive tax on wealth, and why making rich people pay more was completely fair and moral:

McCain's tax evolution - First Read - msnbc.com

Somewhat more, is a little different than a 97% to 3% gap now isn't it? Mccain would actually give money to the under $19k income group as well $19, while Obama would give them $567. Mccain's tax plan calls for a tax cut for every income group. His tax policy doesn't engage in class warfare.

No, Kathianne, he really did. He explained that spreading the wealth to the middle class tax payers by cutting their income tax will benefit the economy as a whole.

Yes, Biden is terrifying, I expect we won't hear a peep out of the wingers for the next four years as they hide under their beds in fear.

hide under their beds in fear? think again.

Barbara West is going to be famous. No doubt about it.

McCain will make plenty of political hay out of this blunder, especially considering Obama buying infomercial time on Wednesday.

If I was McCain stratagist, I would attempt to spin the fact that Sen. Obama now HAS to buy the time so he can control the Marx/Obama questions from rearing their ugly heads.

It ain't true, but it would be a grand stratagem.

Thats a terrible, terrible idea. The only people who think Obama is a socialist/Marxist are far right individuals. Calling people that is going to evoke a very nasty reaction from moderates and independents, especially since its not true. I would say that the "socialist" line of attack, as well as other fear-mongering and smears is part of why Obama is so far ahead in the polls. If he attacks so hard on that, I think it will backfire....again.

That and I suspect Obama has a secret weapon up his sleeve. Its been reported, softly, that McCain was behind pushing the story of the B hoax...if that hits MSM, McCain is going to get slaughtered by it.

I think anyone who actually pays federal income taxes would be concerned about Obama's long list of Marxist policy proposals.

Oh hes going to take over the means of production? Let the government run the factories and such? No? Then its not Marxist. Normal people aren't going to buy the bullshit assertion that anything less than naked laissez faire capitalism with no restraints is Marxism. Keep trying to push that though, its been working real well for your guy

Marxism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Marxism is the political philosophy and practice derived from the work of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. Any political practice or theory that is based on an interpretation of the works of Marx and Engels may be called Marxism.
While there are many theoretical and practical differences among the various forms of Marxism, most forms of Marxism share these principles:

a belief that capitalism is based on the exploitation[3] of workers by the owners of the means of production
a belief that people's consciousness of the conditions of their lives reflects the dominant ideology which is in turn shaped by material conditions and relations of production
an understanding of class in terms of differing relations of production, and as a particular position within such relations
an understanding of material conditions and social relations as historically malleable
a view of history according to which class struggle, the evolving conflict between classes with opposing interests, structures each historical period and drives historical change
a belief that this dialectical historical process will ultimately result in a replacement of the current class structure of society with a system that manages society for the good of all, resulting in the dissolution of the class structure and its support (more often than not including the nation state)

The main points of contention among Marxists are the degree to which they are committed to a workers' revolution as the means of achieving human emancipation and enlightenment, and the actual mechanism through which such a revolution might occur and succeed.

His, obviously, isn't. But why don't you run and tell McCain that you have a bold new line of attack to try on Obama that your sure will work

I wouldn't attack him as a socialist. I'd say he HAS to buy time to keep from answering tough question about having socialist policies. I'd play up this "if your going to ask me tough questions about my policies, I'm not coming on your news program" angle.

I can picture the campaign ad in my mind.

"Senator Obama and Senator Biden are finally being asked tough policy questions by the media.

<roll Barbara West tape..."Are you kidding me?">

So how do they respond ?

By cancelling all interviews with the news station.

<fade in spokesperson statement, fade out statement>

Now Senator Obama has purchased 30 minutes of primetime broadcasting on several networks...

...So he can be interviewed by a truly unbiased host...Himself.

Hardly a surpise.

Barack Obama.....he can't take the heat....so he buys his own kitchen.

I'm John McCain, and I approved this message."

Marxism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The profit gained by the capitalist is the difference between the value of the product made by the worker and the actual wage that the worker receives; in other words, capitalism functions on the basis of paying workers less than the full value of their labour, in order to enable the capitalist class to turn a profit. This profit is not however moderated in terms of risk vs. return.

Obama says corporations should pay for tax breaks - Tampa Bay Business Journal:[
"We'll pay for it by closing corporate tax loopholes and corporate tax havens," Obama told an estimated crowd of 20,000 people at the St. Pete Times Forum. "George Bush gave tax breaks to the wealthiest people. I'm going to stop giving tax breaks to companies that ship jobs overseas and save tax breaks for companies that keep jobs right here in Tampa."

That's just one example of Obama following Marxist principles there are ton of other examples if you would like? No wonder Biden got irritated....:eusa_whistle:

Biden did a great job handling the obvious partisan hackery.

He wasn't angry at all ...

Crack, the OP should stop smoking it.

Liberals get pissed and cry bias when their candidate gets asked if he is a Marxist ...

Conservatives get pissed and cry bias when their candidate gets asked what newspapers they read ...

YouTube - Biden Angered By Tough Questions

When asked tough questions, the Obama campaign launches a character assassination on "Joe the Plumber", then when asked tough questions by a reporter here is their response......
Orlando Sentinel - Obama campaign cuts off WFTV after interview with Joe Biden by Hal Boedeker
Biden so disliked West's line of questioning that the Obama campaign canceled a WFTV interview with Jill Biden, the candidate's wife.

"This cancellation is non-negotiable, and further opportunities for your station to interview with this campaign are unlikely, at best for the duration of the remaining days until the election," wrote Laura K. McGinnis, Central Florida communications director for the Obama campaign.

McGinnis said the Biden cancellation was "a result of her husband's experience yesterday during the satellite interview with Barbara West."

I see why thaey don't hold press conferences now... and I see why the MSNBC and CNN won't do their job and ask tough questions... They don't want to be cut off... Another preview of what's to come if you challenge the Messiah's Campaign...

Biden could've handled the situation better and just answered, "No." when he was asked if Obama is a Marxist. As a supporter of Obama/Biden, I have to say that this isn't the way to handle the situation.

And if you know what being a Marxist really comes down to: it is believing that the wealthy classes shouldn't be allowed to enslave or control the working classes. That's pretty much it. There shouldn't be poverty and there shouldn't be extravagant wealthy. It's about freedom. It has nothing to do with Obama's tax plan. He just wants to tax the wealthy and big corporations more than they are being taxed now. That's it! Read his plan, it's online.

However, the media isn't one way more than the other biased. No one is paying the media to show bias. There isn't a conspiracy. By displaying how out-of-touch and ignorant Gov. Palin is by asking her tough questions isn't bias. Asking Biden a stupid question isn't bias. Each candidate should be able to answer any question a journalist asks, no matter how tough or stupid. However, Gov. Palin's performance is still far worse than Sen. Biden's in demonstrating fitness for office no matter how one looks at it. And that's really all there is to it: perspective. From a right-wing conservative perspective the media seems biased and soft on the left because the republican candidates' campaign has been terrible. From a radical left perspective the media seems soft on all of the candidates, espcially those on the right whose campaign (even from the conservative pundits' perspective) has been terrible. In reality, the candidates are responsible for how they portray themselves and both sides, especially the right, should own up to their candidates portrayal of themselves.
