So, the unemployed are probably going to get some breaks but what about those who just got out of college and are trying to get the same jobs that all the unemployed are trying to get? Since they were in college and never had a full-time job, they are not considered unemployed, correct? How come we can't get the same breaks? After all, we are competing for jobs with college educated people who have years of work experience.

    Am I not understanding something?

Yah, more jobs mean more chances for more people to get them.

Yet, when we had millions of jobs available, people were sitting on their asses doing nothing. Those are the same people we're sending our tax dollars to via welfare, food stamps, and other government programs that we as taxpayers can't actually benefit from.

Sadly, that is a very true accounting of a large segment of America's population.

Obama has focused on this entitlement mindset like a laser, and as such, was awarded with the White House.

We are rewarded with seeing our national deficit more than doubled within a month of his Presidency so such people can be better served all their entitlement wishes...

I don't think it takes this 'plan.' My son is in the middle of his internship, he was sent for training when others weren't. His supervisor told them they are impressed, he's hoping to get an offer upon graduation, with honors.

Sad situation Goodfella. You may want to take that up with the legslators who have been selling the American public out for a long while now while they enjoyed a job on everyone elses dime in the name of (not) "Free Trade". It may have been "Free" to a few and paid better to those few who got pay raises along the way. Yet it is costing every citizen of the United States for the few to have the not really at all "Free Trade".

    Can greed be regulated?

I am an employer so I will answer this for you:

Unemployment law in my state, requires that you have to work for a company for 6 months prior to obtaining unemployment benefits. Since you were in college & not earning income, there was no employer paying for unemployment insurance for you.

So, in answer to your question--No you don't get unemployment insurance benefits. But you may be able to contact the current administration to see if they will arrange a bail-out for you.
