The Great "Right To Work" State of Ohio, brought to You by Gov Kasich. (Ohio passes bill to let bosses replace overtime with comptime) Central Ohio News, Sports, Arts & Classifieds | The Columbus Dispatch

You have the right to be seen, but not heard.
You have the right to shut up and do what your told.
You have the right to work 10 to 16 hour days.
You have the right to work everyday until we tell you, that you can have a day off.
You have the right to make just above minimum wage.
You have the right to work under 40 hours a week.
You have the right to work over 70 hours a week.
You have the right to buy family health insurance coverage out of the $8.00 an hour You make.
You have the right to the Social Security or PBGC which your Gov't offers.
You have the right to vote for 1 of 2 worthless political parties.
You have the right to NOTHING CHUMP!!!!

I'm just so happy that I have the "Right To Work". :clap2:

The land of milk & honey, has now become the land of DEATH & TAXES!!! hahahahahahahahahaha

You also have the right to start your own business that would keep you from being beholden to the whims or desires of anyone else.

This is such a flippant answer, Vel. It is not a real-world choice for most employees. I NORMALLY worked 50-60 hours a week; if I took a personal day and used comp time my employer was stunned. 60 hours a week became the "new 40" rather fast. (BTW during heavy work periods, 100 hours a week was not unusual.)

That means I GAVE him 20 hours a week, free of charge. Time I could have spent with my child. Time I cannot now get back. If he'd been paying me OT, you can bet your ass I would never have been "allowed" to work those hours.

Comp time, for most employees, is nothing more than the forced donation of personal time to the employer. It is wrong, IMO, unless the employee has the option to get paid if he prefers.

I don't know much about overtime and comp time. In the Military 14 hour days 6 days a week was common. And after the military I was mostly salary and worked at least 50 hours a week,

But I am proud to say that in 2006 I voted for the Democrat who is now the former governor of Ohio. I am just as proud to say I did not vote for him in 2010. This guy? well, he's got 4 years to make it better. Or I vote for someone else.

Shut up and do what you are told

Don't you know you are supposed to sacrifice?

Do you two share a brain cell? You cry like little babies about being the victims of your own socialist policies.

START MY OWN BUSINESS R U CRAZY!!!!

Then I'd have to pay out workers comp, worry about OSHA, business licensing fees, inventory discrepancies, Fed & State regulations, overhead cost, employees being sick, not showing up, fighting.

Hell NO, why would I want to start my own business, when I can make a living off my employers dime.

can I ask what you mean by comp time? like the same pay-week or like in the future... after the rapture comes

just asking, seriously

MORE than they are by being GOUGED by the IRS if they don't COMPLY with the whims of the Imperial UnConstitutional FED?

Really Sarah? You wanna play this game?

Its a cop out, trying to bring back Slavery. Republicans love to sell out the workers even though they are selling themselves out in the end.

Have the republicans in congress come up with a plan to stop big insurance from completely obliterating the middle class financially, Tom?

You're right, big insurance is actually Republicans in congress. May as well call it what it is.

The theory is, I owe my employer 40 hours for X dollars. If I work 50, I have 10 comp hours in the bank and can be absent the following week -- or lifetime -- for a day +.

You are right. Only 90% of all personal bankruptcy filings are tracable in part to medical expenses.

TOTALLY a strawman argument.
