“In 1984, Perry was elected to the Texas House of Representatives as a Democrat from district 64, which included his home county of Haskell. He served on the House Appropriations and Calendars committees during his three two-year terms in office. He befriended fellow freshman state representative Lena Guerrero of Austin, a staunch liberal Democrat who endorsed Perry's reelection bid in 2006”

“Perry supported Al Gore in the 1988 Democratic presidential primaries and chaired the Gore campaign in Texas”

What’s the republican’s answer to the oh-so-liberal and so-very-socialist Obama? Get someone more liberal and socialist, stamp conservative on his forehead and send him right on down to the primaries. He’s a donkey in an elephant costume! Happy Halloween.

Rick Perry isn't getting the nomination so it doesn't matter.

Never the less I feel compelled to point such details out. You want to know just how much a closet liberal he is? Check this out.

“In 2007, he signed an executive order requiring all girls entering the sixth grade to be vaccinated against a virus that can cause cervical cancer.”

So as president can we be expecting him to put his executive orders on our kids genitals?

Seems you now more about Perry...a candidate with about 10% on his side and likely to not be on the ballot come the last few priamries than most know about our current President.

Why is that?

Um...thanks for the Old News update.

Oh I’m not a reporter and I’m not trying to break any news here, I’m just taking cheap shots for fun. Like by pointing out that his poll numbers look a lot like his I.Q. test results.

Know more about him than whom? Romney? Talk about old news, he’s been a professional loser for years.

Are you really this slow or is it just a very good act?

RR was a liberal Democrat at one time too!

and he raised taxes six times, didn't he?

i know the reagan fantasy makes his disciples forget that.

Both sides forget the details and spew out their rhetoric...

The right claims he did not raise taxes

The left claims he raised taxes 6 times...

Each is a partial truth

Which is he cut then raised taxes... but the raises did not take it over the initial amounts and rates that were there when he began... so while they were both cut and raised... the end result was still lower taxes than what was in place when he started...
