Of Course They're Socialists!

What do you consider “socialism”?
The military is socialist. I guess the OP hates the military too.

They won't define it . They just declare everything thy don't like as "socialism"!
Here:
so·cial·ism
ˈsōSHəˌlizəm/
noun
  1. a political and economic theory of social organization that advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.
    synonyms: leftism, welfarism; More
    • policy or practice based on the political and economic theory of socialism.
      synonyms: leftism, welfarism; More
    • (in Marxist theory) a transitional social state between the overthrow of capitalism and the realization of communism.

Yes . That’s textbook .

But when righties run around complaining that stuff like Obamacare is “socialism “, that doesn’t really fit the definition.
Socialism is government control of the economy, so yes it does fit the definition. Your definition is political propaganda.

5. Meanwhile, in Venezuela......
According to one source these are some of the most socialistic nations in the world today:
  • China
  • Denmark
  • Finland
  • Netherlands
  • Canada
  • Sweden
  • Norway
  • Ireland
  • New Zealand
  • Belgium
Despite popular myths, there is very little connection between economic performance and welfare expenditure. Many of the countries on this list are proof of that, such as Denmark and Finland. Even though both countries are more socialistic than America, the workforce remains stronger.

Hardly, asshole. 6 of those countries are less socialist than the USA.

Country Rankings: World & Global Economy Rankings on Economic Freedom

According to the Heritage Index of Economic Freedom:
  • USA . . . . . . . . . . . . . .18
  • China . . . . . . . . . . . . 110
  • Denmark . . . . . . . . . . . 12
  • Finland . . . . . . . . . . . . 26

  • Ireland . . . . . . . . . . . . . 6
  • New Zealand . . . . . . . . . . 3
  • Belgium . . . . . . . . . . . . 52
I never said the US is not a socialist nation, the list included only some of the most socialistic nations in the world today. If Socialism is government control of the economy, the US certainly fits: we have a Federal Reserve, bail out some failing businesses, regulate businesses, impose tariffs, etc.

I just showed you that most of the names on the list aren't socialist.

Sorry but a country can be socialist AND still be economically free. Your list took into account more than just economics.

What is the difference if everyone in a country owns a piece of a company or just a few people own that company? How would that affect the company's daily operations or short and long term goals?

No it can't.

They're Communists. I strongly urge folks to check out the documentary 'Agenda: Grinding Down America.' It lays out the Communist Agenda very clearly. And the Communists seized control of the US Democratic Party years ago. Check out the film. Fantastically enlightening.

Of Course They're Socialists! If you call everything socialism.

Social Security and Medicaid? SOCIALISM!
Public Roads? SOCIALISM!
Public education? SOCIALISM!
Publicly funded military? CONSTITUTIONAL!

The military is also socialist. That's why it's so fucked up and expensive.

Socialism is government control of the economy.
What you are thinking of is closest to Soviet-style communism. Just about every nation on the planet has elements of communism, socialism, and capitalism to varying degrees. Ours included. Every ideology is eventually forced to give way to reality.

What you're thinking of is actually capitalism.

Can you name a capitalist country? One with no government control of the economy.

No. I also can't name a dog that has never had fleas. That doesn't mean that fleas are good for dogs.

Socialism starts with a social Contract like our Constitution.

Congress enacts fiscal policy in our Republic and we have a Central Bank.

That means, we have a command economy.

Only the right wing, never gets it.
