The whole issue with the rate Romney pays comes down to the fact that almost all of his earnings are from capital gains, which are taxed at a much lower rate. This is nothing that Romney has done wrong and it is not a situation where he has cheated on his taxes. The question we should be asking ourselves is whether the capital gains rate is too low or not. Personally, I believe it is too low, but I also do not believe it should be as high as the earned income rate.
