October Surprise will be dramatic Sept jobs report improvement

What an idiotic analysis of people leaving the workforce. Yes, retirement is up. It's up for two reasons. First, the demographic bubble of boomers are entering retirement age. Second, many people who couldn't retire because their IRAs, Keoghs, and 401Ks tanked in 2008-2009, are now in a much better financial position to retire. I'm sure there's lots of kids who are moving back home, and moms deciding to stay at home, because the job market still sucks, but to ignore the boomer demographic is idiotic.

Not true, those who were going to retire no longer chose to retire and those who have some of those went back to work

Where's your link to support that claim. It still doesn't dismiss the fact that more people are retiring every day now, than 10 years ago. Since 2011, 10,000 people a day are turning 65. That's over 300,000 a month. The fact remains that many postponed retirement because the Bush economy trashed their retirement accounts. And now since the markets are hitting 5 year highs, many of these people have retired. To claim that a significant part of the people who left the labor force isn't significantly effected by these facts is stupid.

All of you are ignoring (again) - a basic fact.
FACT: The private sector in 2012 has produced 153,000 less jobs YTD than 2011.
Fact.
Forget the unemployment figure no matter what it does or does not contain.
We are flat out declining in job creation in the private sector - this is NOT GOOD.

No surprise...still ignoring this number.

All those numbers support the fact that people are still better off in 2012 than in 2011. That is unless you're a teacher or a police officer or a firefighter. Government jobs are the ones that are still declining. Has the recovery slowed in the past two quarters? Yep, but it has much more to do with slowdowns in Europe and Asia than anything Obama has done. Lets not forget that they were also hit by the Bush economic failure.

In a razor-tight election (go figure) - even a few points could make the diff
in the jobs rept.

But they can't make it look too obviuos.

The ADP jobs report last Thursday indicates that BLS will probably revise the August numbers upward, and September will be a good month.

There is no doubt in my mind that every effort will be made by this administration
to make sure that UE ends up below 8%....right before the election.

And I'm am saying outright that I'm sure they will cook the books...

Then they will magically revise the numbers in November to reflect the facts.

How fucking stupid are you? You don't get the difference between the ADP numbers and the BLS numbers? ADP interviews businesses and BLS interviews individuals. The ADP job numbers are usually more accurate and usually causes up or down revisions to the BLS numbers in the following month or two. Think about it. ADP talks to businesses, who know what they'll be doing regarding hiring in the reporting month. BLS talks to individuals, who have no idea whether they'll be getting a job in the reporting month.

You're one dense wingnut. Have you always been this dumb?

Under 8% seems to be the goal for Obama ..

I'm sure his goal is full employment. The man loves the American people, and has spent most of his adult life helping them improve their lot in life. Too bad Gore lost in 2000.

uh...no it won't.
September will not be good.

I'm not sure about that. Most indicators suggested that August's numbers were going to be much better. They may just be lagging by one month. I'm not going to make any predictions, but it wouldn't surprise me if the jobs numbers are much at the end of September.

You are right. How did 96,000 new jobs with over three hundred thousand new unemployment applications result in a .2 decline in the number of those who are unemployed? I don't buy the "x number of people have quit looking". You watch, when the next set of figures come out they will be below 8%, which tells me the Labor Department is cooking the books. The socialist Democrats will stop at nothing to keep power and get as many people dependent on government as they can!

Great, another member who has zero ability to think for himself.

They will be doing high-fives in the WH if they can get to 7.9%.......................................

I don't know who "they" is/are. I won't be giving any high fives until we get unemployment down to the level that Clinton left Bush with. Good news is still good news.

The Obama gang will have a 7.9 Sept unemployment report -by hook or crook.

Still nothing to brag over - but i less ugly sounding than 8.0

I can almost guarantee it will be at least 7.9%
right before election day....
The fix is in...They will make a deal with the devil to get it under 8%
right before election day... :eusa_whistle:
