OCCUPIED JERUSALEM,(PIC)-- Occupation bulldozers have demolished, on Wednesday, an old Palestinian house in Abbasid neighborhood in Silwan town east of occupied Jerusalem.

Head of the Committee for the Defense of Silwan, Fakhri Abu Diab, confirmed that Israeli bulldozers belonging to the municipality of Jerusalem have demolished the house of Montacer Sarhan under the pretext that it was established without permit, warning against such systematic policy that aims to demolish Palestinian houses adjacent to Al-Aqsa Mosque to complete the "ethnic cleansing " around it.

Abu Diab said in a press statement on Wednesday that despite the small size of the house however it has a great value as being built since more than a hundred years before the establishment of the Jewish state.

For its part, the Islamic - Christian Commission for the Support of Jerusalem and Holy Sites has denounced the demolishing of Sarhan's house, considering this measure is part of a systematic policy practiced by the occupation in order to expel Jerusalem's natives.

Tinnie, a building permit is required. Next thing you know those Palis will be be building outhouses beside the well. Can't have that.

house demolitions in Israel require a court order----contrary to jihadist popularized opinion the persons owning the house get a chance to challenge the thing in court------the stories about bulldozers showing up and knocking down houses with people inside-------are the stuff of Ima's dreams My house is older than 100 years----in fact it is 114 years old------it could be knocked down if the city decided to knock it down for being "unsafe" Two years ago ----two houses fell down on their own in my neighborhood----now the damned inspectors bug us all the time. If they knock it down ----I EXPECT INDIGNATION

Why do the Palestinians in the West Bank need to get building permits from foreigners? The Palestinians in Gaza do not get building permits from foreigners.

Maybe it's the law. Ever consider that?

I don't understand how when a nation, like say, America. America decides it wants to go west, manifest destiny they called it. Took lands from the Indians, put them on a reservation, and took from them, their destiny.

Israel, becomes a nation in the same manner America did, won independence by beating back the Arab nations that wanted to snuff it out. So the Arabs decide to try again, not only does Israel beat them, they retake Jerusalem, the Golan heights and Gaza. Not only is manifest destiny not allowed to Israel, but they are to give back all the lands back to the 1967 borders. These borders are not at all to Israel's advantage, but it gives the Arabs the means to destroy Israel.

Now, since America didn't give back the land to the Indians, why should Israel give back the land to the Arabs?

Just curious, but did they happen to have pictures of St. Rachel Pancake hanging on the walls of their house??

Then there's a solution - palistanian settlers of the WB move over to Gaza and become "natives"!
