“So after you make $10 million in one year, your dollars after that start to get progressively taxed at a much higher rate. And really, what that is … at what level are we just living in excess?” she asked."

I have to point this out again...she is not calling for a "70% tax on the rich". If she did the rich would withdraw their support from her, Hollywood would abandon her and the press would withdraw their endorsements.

She is "calling for" (whatever that means) a 70% *income tax*. Much much different. Income taxes stop people from leaving the middle class for wealth. The truly wealthy, her money men, dont care and are not bothered by income taxes.

On Jan 3rd the Democrats shot down a bill in the House, presented by Rep. Kevin Brady, which would have made the new standard deduction of 24,000 permanent for married Americans. Defeating that bill was a priority for them. Do you think the "10 millionth and one dollar" matters here? Or is it obvious who they are going after when they vote to lower the standard deduction..the ONLY deduction most Americans have.

One of the first bills presented by the Democrats this year, HR 6 as a matter of fact, was a request to change the Republican era rule that all tax hikes be passed by a 3/5 majority. But they wont be on "the rich", themselves, of course. The new taxes will fall on you.

Democrats want to single out Americans who they deem have 'enough', as defined by them, to seize whatever percent they want from them, and to redistribute that money (mostly into their own pockets and pet projects to keep them getting elected).

They think Class Warfare, economic redistribution of wealth as decided by them,, and spending other people's money - because they believe they know how to spend your money better than you do - are great ideas.
