Just a quick explanation from my perspective for the purposes of comparison (think of it as a "control group" for a study): I love this country. Seriously. I worship our founding fathers. I love our history - the things we did right were amazing, the things we did wrong (ie slavery) we later corrected. I read the US Constitution and the Declaration of Independence several times a week on average. I consider those documents, our founders, and many historical items and places sacred. I have the highest respect for our military - I am deeply grateful to them for what they have done.

In the thousands and thousands of posts I've read here on USMB, I have observed the following universal truth. Liberals hate this country. Seriously. They hate our founders. They hate our history - constantly slamming the US for every decision it made from the Constitution to slavery to Iraq. They despise and reject the U.S. Constitution. They lie about it's creation and distort it's contents. They detest our military. They spit on those who serve (literally) and are constantly trying to gut the budget that provides our men and women with the tools, training, and benefits they earn and deserve.

Despite what the angry liberal will say, these are not my words and this is not my opinion. This is what the liberal posts. Which raises this question:

Why do liberals remain in a country they have so much deep seated hatred for? I detest their Communism/Marxism/Socialism. If the US were run like they want - like the former U.S.S.R., I would seriously just leave. I would. Why not live where you will be happy? Why stay where you are miserable? Cuba has every policy they believe in and has beautiful weather. Yet, you never see a liberal denounce their citizenship and go live in any of a number of countries that shares their ideology.

Liberals tend to not have such zealot-like love for the USA, but to say they hate this country just makes you look like an ass, more so than...

I obviously omitted the part about the troops, they're not the problem.

Usually it's the conservatives among us that talk about divorces, succession etc...

Funny...I worship God. The founding fathers were merely human beings. They weren't even close to being divine. They lived so long ago that they couldn't even CONCEIVE of what life entails in our modern society. It's nothing more than a false religion brought to you bu false prophets.

Posts like this confirm the well known theory that being a right winger, and having a serious mental condition go hand in hand.

You know, I would go right now and start pasting into this thread the endless US bashing by liberals, but since you guys ignore reality and deny the facts, it would just be a waste of time. Ignorance is bliss for you communists, uh?

Sure, because you can copy/paste, liberals hate America.

Think harder.

In other words, what I said was 100% accurate and you have no response for it?

If you hate America and capitalism, why don't you just leave? Answer the question

Rottweiler, not many people have the respect or instinct of what our founding fathers felt for our country and the awesome task that was before them as you, I and many of us do. The courage that it took to break away from England and forge ahead building a nation with a Bill of Rights, a Constitution and knowledge that this great experiment just may fail all the colonists had to be mindboggling.

It isn't that Liberals hate this country, but perhaps take it for granted and lack the feeling this country once felt that "We can do anything if we try hard enough." Trying is hard for what you want in life is difficult.. Getting is easier when you expect it from the government for nothing. I feel that Liberals have lost sight of that the American Dream is getting what you want from your own endeavors. The Conservatives haven't lost sight of that dream and no one knows which faction will win out in the end.

We look at nations all over the globe. Few are like the USA. Few mirror our history. Look at those nations today. We are still struggling for we, as Conservatives still believe in our own exceptionalism.

Yes - because I can copy/paste liberals own words. You are really annoyed that I have brought attention to this undeniable reality, aren't you? I wonder why that is...

Copy/paste mine or stfu dipshit.

Ive asked that question to Rott, and yes the liberals hate what this country stand for and what it does, they dont appreciate how its adapted, how it helps the world and how it leads in a lot of areas.

They wont leave because they know its a war and they are safe here, to live the style they want in any other country means they would have to give up a lot more.

Think of rich kids who get bored with being rich.

Wow - have an over sized ego, do we? You and you alone are the standard to which all liberals are held and judged in your own mind?

Every rule has an exception, and maybe you are the exception to what I stated. But you know damn well what I said was true based on posts made by liberals here on this message board. Don't get all jacked up over the truth, get pissed at your fellow liberals who bash all things American.

I may be an exception to the rule, but it's a rule that has more to do with partisanship than reality.

You have a passion for this country that borders on religious zealotry, of course any statements made by a liberal that's less than wonderful about the US will be taken in the worst way by you. :dunno:
