Obama’s Watch: 39 Months, 69 Percent of Afghan War Casualties

Yes. Bush caved to Democrat politics. It's not point to defend everything Bush did. My point is to point out your own hypocrisy regarding Obama's handling of Afghanistan.

Bush ignored the Democrats, Bush ignored the international community, Bush ignored his Generals, Bush ignored his own father.......Bush was the decider

Who Bush listened to was Cheney, Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz who were trying to sell the diversion into Iraq as no big deal, be over in a few months, won't take many troops or cost many lives. Deploying a force the size that Shinseki advised or for the duration Shinseki predicted would not sell politically

And you have to keep attacking Bush b/c you have no defense for Obama's hypocrisy.

Other than he had to play the hand he was dealt

By abandoning the war on terror to pursue his blunder in Iraq, Bush extended the Afghan war by five years and left the Taliban and Al Qaida in Pakistan

In another Bush mess Obama had to clean up, he had to go back and clean up Afghanistan all over

Casey Sheehan's life was flushed down the toilet by GW Bush, as were the other 4000 plus lives lost.

As were the men and women in Afghanistan under Obama.

Over 1200.

Numbers don't lie. Where are the tears? Where is the pain? Where are the protesters?

Liberals are fucking hypocrites. You show it daily now. Sad. Just sad.

I asked you, what liberals were against the Afghanistan war, who changed their mind when Obama became president?

Second question:

Why are you pretending you opposed the Afghanistan war?

So, is the answer to the above "NONE"?

So much for your brilliant OP.

Hmmm. Let me think. Was Obama's 08 campaign about we got to clean up Afghanistan? Nooooooh. Oh, it was something about getting out of there. Yea, you're an apologist. And Iraq was on the mend before Obama came to power.

In several threads I've witnessed the continual attack on GW for the number of deaths of soldiers in Iraq (4,000 plus) and that liberals hold him as CIC completely and utterly responsible.

The buck does stop at the President's desk.

So why no outrage over the number of deaths of servicemen in Afghanistan? Why the silence? Why the crickets?

Because hypocrisy thy name is liberal....

CNSNews.com) - Although President Obama has only served 39 months in office, 69 percent of the U.S. military fatalities in the more than 10-year-old war in Afghanistan have occurred on his watch.

Through April 30, the Defense Department had reported that 1,844 U.S. military personnel have been killed in and around Afghanistan while deployed in Operation Enduring Freedom, which was launched in October 2001 after al Qaeda terrorists attacked the World Trade Towers and the Pentagon.

According to CNSNews.com’s comprehensive database on Afghan war casualties, at least 1,275 of the 1,844 U.S. troops killed in the Afghanistan conflict have been killed since Jan. 20, 2009, when Barack Obama was inaugurated as president.

In the more than 10 years the U.S. military has been fighting in Afghanistan, each of the three deadliest years have been during Obama’s presidency. The deadliest year was 2010, when 497 U.S. service personnel gave their lives in Afghanistan. The second deadliest year was 2011, when 399 U.S. service personnel gave their lives in Afghanistan. And the third deadliest year was 2009, when 303 U.S. service personnel gave their lives in Afghanistan

Shut up you know it's Bush's fault, just like my knee aching.

Ok Ok seriously, it is a direct result of how we are viewed, the weaker we appear the more bold and frequent the attacks are against our troops. Its either something about Obama's attitudes that make them think we are weaker now or its just a coincidence that their boldness has increased the last few years....I don't know for sure.

Obama campaigned to get the heck out of Iraq and ramp up Afghanistan.....that is where the terrorists were
