Obama has demonized just about every business sector in America. Through the 2008 campaign to the present, he has gone after credit card companies, the coal industry, mortgage companies, real estate companies, steelmakers, utilities, drug companies, doctors, oil companies, Wall Street, defense contractors, and health insurance companies, just to name a few. In each case he has dinged them for greed, taking excessive profits, and failing to put people first. His criticisms have not been over minor matters but over their basic core functions, and their values or lack of them.

Obama's War on non-union Americans
There is nothing wrong with wanting better pay and benefits, but when the levers of government are manipulated by public sector unions so they have retirement security and early retirement, and they have generous vacation and health benefits, but the rest of us dont, something is very wrong. We indeed have two Americas, but they arent rich vs. poor. They are unionized public sector workers vs. taxpaying private sector workers. That is the real two Americas and anyone running for President on a populist economic platform like Obama should be making their campaign priority to normalize taxpayer supported benefits between the public and private sector workforces.

Three decades after Ronald Reagan declared that federal activism wasn't the answer to America's problems, big government is back. The evidence is everywhere. There's President Obama's $787 billion program to stimulate the economy, including massive investments in roads, bridges, and other infrastructure projects. There's his $275 billion plan to prevent home foreclosures, along with his $634 billion, 10-year proposal to improve healthcare. The administration's aggressive efforts to save the financial industry also represent big government in action, moving toward what Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner says will be a "dramatically different" form of capitalism. And there is Obama's far-reaching campaign to cut U.S. dependence on fossil fuels, partly by taxing carbon emissions, to create what some administration officials call a "green society."
