OBAMA'S war on the middle class

Statism is a readily accepted term.

I can give you a google link to lots of definitions.

But we all know what we are talking about. You want to keep it to word games.

stat·ism (sttzm)
n.
The practice or doctrine of giving a centralized government control over economic planning and policy.

statist adj. & n.

More likely 7 1/2

If it's more than 3.5 I will start learning Japanese. :eusa_whistle:
Obama will ruin the country at this rate, and even when it's right in front of him he isn't seeing it.

Better rush order Rosetta Stone. He's got the minority vote in the bag and there wont be any more old white guys in the next 3 years, probably less as the baby boomers start croaking.

McCain would have been better, as for the "old white guys" garbage, would it surprise you much to know I would have voted for Hilary? It's not the party or the stereotype I am interested in, it's the issues, and Hilary just had my interest at heart more than Obama, at least she would have been more conservative with the budget after seeing the effects her ... erm ... her husbands policies had the first time.

The only thing that stopped Bill Clinton from governing as the flaming liberal that Barack Obama is was Clinton's Republican Congress.

Otherwise, both Obama and Clinton pretty much wanted the same things.

In hindsight I could have supported Hillary. I think she may have been able to hold to her campaign promises a 'little' better than Obama has. I was just sour on her from putting up with her as a senator for the last 8 years. She only moved here because she knew Charlie Rangel was retiring. Like I said, in hindsight I should have let that go and supported her....

Neither Bill Clinton, nor Barack Obama are anything close to a flaming liberal. Trust me, you'll know one when you see one. Try looking at Dennis Kucinich as probably the most well known liberal... and even he's not really "flaming". Obama is miles to the right when compared to a real liberal like Kucinich.

Lots of Dem supporters are starting to think similarly. I hate to say it, but I did tell people so before Obama got elected. I almost voted for McCain in spite of having made the flub of picking Palin. But, since the lesser of two evils is still evil, I opted out of voting, just no point when Obama got the ticket.

.

Only on rightwing blogs, and amongst 22 year old white boy college libertarians.

No one else uses it.

Its a dead giveaway for somebody who voted for George Dumbya Bush twice, and worships at the alter of deregulation and trusting the free markets to police themselves.

And that would be what got this country where it is today.

But you and Jillian won't get beyond the anal retentiveness of word dances and talk about what statism really is.

Obama is a marxist. It doesn't get any more leftist than him.

uhhh ok. :cuckoo: You either have no idea what a marxist is, or you're deliberately posting bullshit, which is it?

Seems to me that you are the clueless one...

No, he is a marxist. You can give me any definition of that you want, and none of them would preclude his views.

Marxist? So much for intelligent discourse. I tire of hearing words like fascist, socialist and maxist bandied about to describe American politicians. Remember, that right wing radio will rot your brain.

Funny KK, I did the same thing. I voted on the local issues, but couldn't stomach the thought of casting a vote for any of my choices for president.

anal retentive to expect people to back up their arguments?

interesting... i'd think one is expected to back up their arguments on a political discussion board....

unless they have nothing but rants.

And clearly, all you do is rant and spew and toss around words irrelevant to the discussion while expecting others to do your homework for you.

My mom told me two wrongs don't make a right ........ ;)

Yeah and my Mamma taught me that two lies don't make a truth.

Fauline Hilda doesn't probably get it but her post was really two lies.

The first was the constant refrain that OBama is making us do thing.

No actually reality is making us do things that we're not going to like...like taking into account the real cost of carbon based energy.

The second lie is her lie of omission.

Complaing about a war on the middle class that does not note the constant war that the Republicans have been fighting against the working classes is an enormous lie of ommission.

Does she realize that?

I don't know, but her ignorance does not excuse the lies, even if it explains them.
