Reports indicate the dual presidencies of Obama and Egypt's Mohamed Morsi have been very good for Hamas.

In fact, the militant Islamist organization that was in dire straits financially just a few years ago, now has strong financial backing and looks forward to warring against Israel for many years to come.

Hamas has not failed to notice the daylight Obama has placed between Israel and the U.S.

Nor have they misunderstand the direct support Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood president plans to give them should Israel attack Hamas. Reports actually indicate "Hamas feels confident Morsi would not remain idle if Israel retaliated against [Hamas'] rocket fire with a...military operation in the Gaza strip."

Hamas, like so many other terrorist regimes, remembers then-Senator Obama's May 2008 pledge that if he were elected president, he would not be a war-monger like George W. Bush. Rather, he would sit down and talk to known dictators and/or terror sponsors like Iranian President Ahmadinejad, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, and others.

To be fair, Obama didn't mention sitting down with Hamas leaders in this way, but it looks like they got the message anyway.

Hamas Fires at Jerusalem for First Time; Israel seems poised to launch ground attack...

Rockets slam into Israel's south in third day of IDF operation in Gaza
Nov.16, 2012 | Rocket lands in Gush Etzion, no casualties; Israeli cabinet approves expansion of draft to more than 75,000 army reservists; IDF: Projectile on Tel Aviv did not hit ground; more than 550 rockets from Gaza explode in Israel since beginning of operation; IDF strikes over 500 Gaza targets; EU's Ashton: Hamas must cease rocket fire, Israel must make sure response is proportionate.
After a relatively quiet night on the Israeli side of the border, Friday morning saw the renewal of rocket fire from the Gaza Strip toward Israel's south. Several rockets hit residential areas in Ashdod; a woman sustained light injuries and a few residents suffered an anxiety attack following the rocket fire. The Israel Defense Forces struck some 150 targets overnight in Gaza.

On Thursday night, two Fajr rockets were fired toward Tel Aviv. Sirens were sounded in the Tel Aviv area for the first time since the Gulf War in 1991. The IDF said that since the operation began with the assassination of Ahmed Jabari, it has struck most of the Fajr launching sites in Gaza. The Iranian-made Fajr rockets, when fired from the northern Gaza Strip, can hit cities in central Israel.

The IDF is now preparing for the possibility of expanding the operation, including the use of ground forces in the Gaza Strip. The IDF General Staff on Friday morning approved the initial draft of 16,000 army reservists. Israel agreed to hold fire during a visit in Gaza by Egypt Prime Minister Hashim Kandil. During his visit, volleys were fired from Gaza toward Israel's south.

Hamas aims at Jerusalem, Israel calls reserves
16 Nov.`12 — Hamas rocket squads aimed at Jerusalem for the first time Friday, along with commercial hub Tel Aviv, showing off their expanded reach as Israeli airstrikes pounded the Palestinian territory for a third day. Israel called up 16,000 reservists, moving a step closer to a possible ground offensive in the Palestinian territory.
Air raid sirens sounded in the two cities which — unlike population centers in Israel's south — had not been exposed to rocket fire from Hamas-ruled Gaza before the current round of cross-border fighting. No injuries were reported, but Hamas' latest attempts to hit Israel's heartland could push Israel closer to sending ground troops into Gaza. Over the past three days, Israel has relentlessly pounded suspected rocket launching sites and other Hamas targets in Gaza with scores of airstrikes, while Hamas has fired more than 450 rockets toward Israel. The overall death toll rose to 30 — 27 Palestinians and three Israelis.

The Islamic militant group was badly bruised during its last full-fledged confrontation with Israel four years ago that ended with an informal truce, although rocket fire and Israeli airstrikes on militant operations continued sporadically. The Islamic militant group appeared better prepared this time with a more powerful arsenal. Just a few years ago, Palestinian rockets were limited to crude, homemade devices manufactured in Gaza. But in recent years, Hamas and other armed groups have smuggled in sophisticated, longer-range rockets from Iran and Libya, which has been flush with weapons since Moammar Gadhafi was ousted last year.

Most of the rockets do not have guided systems, limiting their accuracy, though Israeli officials believe the militants may have a small number of guided missiles that have not yet been deployed. Hamas said the two rockets aimed at the two Israeli cities Friday were made in Gaza, a prototype the militants call M-75, and have a range of about 80 kilometers (50 miles). The air raid sirens sounded in Jerusalem after the start of the Jewish Sabbath in the holy city, claimed by both Israel and the Palestinians as a capital and located about 75 kilometers (47 miles) from Gaza. Israeli police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said the rocket landed in an open area southeast of the city.

Earlier Friday, Gaza militants fired toward Tel Aviv and an explosion was heard in the city, but no injuries were reported. Hamas had first targeted Tel Aviv on Thursday, an unprecedented achievement for the group. "We are sending a short and simple message: There is no security for any Zionist on any single inch of Palestine and we plan more surprises," Abu Obeida, spokesman for the Hamas militant wing, said of the rockets aimed at Israel's two main cities. A senior Hamas official said that Egypt, which often mediates between Hamas and Israel, was working behind the scenes to arrange a truce.

It's interesting that all of the mainstream news outlets are refusing to cover Benghazi.

What else are they neglecting to report?
Seems like they want to talk about anything but Benghazi. I've never seen a president lie like this and get away with it. Not even Clinton. Oh look, a bird!

The mayor mistake Obama made was during his visit to Egypt some time ago, when he sidelined Mubarak and appeased and encouraged the Muslim Brotherhood.

We all know what happened after that, the best ally in the region was overthrown and the MB of which Hamas is an offshoot took charge.

The consequences of Obama's disastrous blunder in appeasing the Islamists has yet to be felt!

What stupid policies! you never appease Islamists, they take advantage of it at your cost just as it happened in Gaza!

Interesting piece about Benghazi and the Petraeus Affair.................

L’Affaire Petraeus And Benghazi – OpEd
By: Lawrence S. Schneiderman

November 13, 2012 There is no paucity of reporting in today’s Main Stream Media on l’affaire Petraeus. The Director of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has admitted to having an extramarital affair with a married woman. And, one should not be surprised to learn of further revelations of transgressions on his part. However, while the avalanche of reporting on General Petraeus’ extramarital affair sells newsprint and fills the airwaves with prurient curiosity, it’s window dressing — pour la galerie.

As America’s great General, George S. Patton, once said (it would seem appropriate to quote a General here): “If everyone is thinking alike, then somebody isn’t thinking.” What then is l’affaire Petraeus all about?

The extramarital affair is a red herring. Its purpose is to cover up the Obama Administration’s failures in Benghazi and its cover up of those events. Four Americans under diplomatic protection, including the US Ambassador to Libya, were murdered in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11th, 2012, by Islamic terrorists. The date was the 11th Anniversary of the 9/11 Islamic terror attacks upon the United States in New York City and Washington, D.C.

The Obama Administration and its accomplice the Main Stream Media, willing or duped, is using a personal extramarital affair to deflect the public from the real questions of an attack on a US Consulate in North Africa.

Why did the Obama Administration allow its Ambassador and State Department personnel to be put in jeopardy, knowing in advance that Benghazi was an extremely dangerous environment?
Why did the US State Department, under the direction of Secretary of State, Hillary Rodham Clinton, leave the consulate without adequate protection against a terrorist attack on the Anniversary of 9/11?
Why was a US Consulate not provided security by US Marines, as is standard operating procedure”?
Under what authority is the CIA responsible for the protection of a US Ambassador and Consulate Office?
Who made the decision to “contract out” security of a US Consulate to private civilian contractors who may be connected or compromised by terrorist groups in a country without a legitimate central government?
Indeed, there are many questions to be answered, but none more important in my view than these:

Why did the Obama Administration not come to the rescue of its Ambassador and diplomatic personnel when it had real time information on the attack of its Consulate, and military assets capable of neutralizing the attack less than two hours away in Sigonella, Italy?
Who knew what and when? Mr. Obama, President of the United States; Mrs. Clinton, Secretary of State; Mr. Leon Panetta, Secretary of Defense; Gen. M. Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; Gen. Petraeus, Director of the Central Intelligence Agency; and Mr. James R. Clapper, Director of National Intelligence; and yet to be named White House functionaries?
Who made the decision(s) not to send military support to Benghazi?
In the last analysis, one would hope that the Congressional Leaders of the United States and the Main Stream Media would see the events of Benghazi as the real story that needs to be investigated, and not Gen. Petraeus’ extramarital affair. Until then, here’s what the officials and pundits wish us to think: no conspiracy; the timing of Gen. Petraeus’ resignation just a coincidence; just a sordid extramarital affair, but we need to be sure no vital intelligence was compromised; nothing to see here folks – just wag the dog!

Longknife...you have the wrong culprit in Obama...he may be a fraud and an artless liar, but he's about as Muslim as Bernie Madoff....the one's who sponsored Hamas are the Israelis...once Hamas was elected over the largely defunct and INCREASINGLY moderate PLO, the predictably slimy Israelis could say: 'we don't negotiate with radical Muslims bent on our destruction"....Bibi might've added: "we only financially back them"...LOL
Very short sighted, and uninformed. The US at one point also supported Al Qaeda in an effort to rid Afghanistan from the Soviets. You choose the lesser of two evils. AT ONE POINT IN TIME, because it is in your national security interests. Israel used Hamas to weaken the PLO and its terrorist leader Yasser Arafat. You talk like a 12 year old who doesn't know shit about shit.
