Regrets anyone..? Obama and the Democratic Party... ah... what a bunch of maroons, admit it their just plain pathetic and I'm being nice about it.

Just 25% of U.S. voters now say the country is heading in the right direction, the lowest level of voter confidence since early January 2009.

Correspondingly, the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 69% believe the nation is heading down the wrong track, the highest level measured in 14 months.

Right Direction or Wrong Track - Rasmussen Reports

Economics is a large part psychology. If people "think" we are headed on the wrong track, the situation will only get worse. Businesses are leary of hiring and consumers are hoarding their dough. It becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy.

This is very bad news. We need a leader who can inspire confidence and we have one who only knows how to spend money we don't have. So much for that hope and change.

Yeah "Go Shopping" is the ticket. All we need is the leader who will inspire consumerism once again.

Wait, people think that it sucks during the recession? No wai.

That's one of the takeaways from this. Another is that they have believed what Obama has said since before the election.

Worst economy since the Great Depression.

Pass the Stimulus and we'll avoid anything really bad.

Whoops! The economy is worse than we thought.

This won't be a quick fix. It's going to take some time.

Now, with everything that he's said rolled up into a general impression of the guy, that impression is,

"Well, I really have no idea what I'm doing here and all I really want to do is raise taxes, eliminate free enterprise, reduce our ability to compete globally and assure that our children live in a country where the USA has no choices and no options except to pay our debt.

I want to be like Jamaica."

The Big 0 is on course to dismanteling our position in the world and making sure that all we will able to do if there is a crisis anywhere inside or outside our borders is watch it on TV and feel really, really bad about it.

One cheer for the Big 0! (We can't afford the other two any more.)

Actually, yes. An economic stimulus, this is something foreign to the idiots in DC, is something that stimulates SPENDING. Stimulating unemployment benefits or additional government jobs is not a stimulus for the economy. It is a stimulus for the Party's elite.

Stimulating anything paid for by the government is a stimulus for increased debt. Increased debt must be paid for by work paid for in the private sector. The government stimulates nothing. All it does is suck off its portion and deplete what is needed for real growth.

Copnnecting government growth to an economic stimulus is like connecting a refrigerator to a sprinter. Both will result in a slow down.

Short version of diatribe please? Couldn't get past

Whoops! The economy is worse than we thought.

Yep, thats how terrible last admin was. More than a year past and still can get out of that major fuck up.

But he got a law degree from Haaaarvard, and although we haven't seen any records, we are told he excelled and was even a Professor of Constitutional law(or was that lecturer).......... at least that is the story that has been told. I'm sure he earned any grades he was given, certainly the very liberal faculty of Haaaarvard didn't do whatever they could to get this semi black guy who expressed his political ambitions through their institution.......... certainly they wouldn't pull any bullshit like that, they are above lying and cheating..... right?

He was groomed to be a world class leader supposedly, how could he not be? I guess if he is the dimwit that he sounds like when he attempts to speak without his teleprompters, he would be a leader that sucks. I wouldn't follow his hack ass to a money give away.

Exactly! Lets do same thing that got us into recession in the first place!

Once again the Ultra Leftist Progressive Liberals here don't accept that the Democratics in Congress are to blame for this housing-crisis induced collapse of the economy. If that wasn't good enough, they create a stimulus package and hold back most of it as a slush fund to get their guys re-elected using bribes to their home districts. That's why they're ignoring the People and continuing with this talk of "reconciliation" to pass health care by an illegal vote.

Like adding a huge entitlement and not paying for it?

Even better, lets double down on the spending that already hasn't worked ......:cuckoo:

With his policy agenda, that's not going to happen anytime soon. Businesses are hesitant about hiring. Cap and trade tax, healthcare....tax, higher taxes, yeah that would inspire businesses to hire.

How do you know if it's helped or not? You don't, nobody can, because we can't get a do-over. There's no way to know what would have happened if we addressed it differently.

Just a quick shout out from reality. The Big 0 said during the election that it was the worst economy since the Great Depression. A few months later, he decided that the economy was worse than he thought.

Which is it? Was he lying during the election? A no-brainer. Or, was he completely unaware of how bad the economy was and is. Again, a no-brainer. He was lying during the election and he has no idea what's going on.

The very simple truth is that if he had done absolutely nothing to "stimulate" the economy, it would be better now than it is. With his handouts, maybe a new tax, maybe not, maybe healthcare, maybe not, maybe we pull out of Iraq and Afghanistan, maybe not, maybe Cap and trade, maybe not, maybe this and maybe that, all we know for sure is that the debt is higher than ever and rising fast.

No hope to ever get it down. No way to change what is getting worse. No hope and no change? Again, reality collides with a campaign slogan.

The same thing as before is not what I recomended. The same thing as before would be preferable to what has happened this time, but not what I recomended.

Asking people to spend and stimulating spending are two different things. Neither Bush nor Obama stimulated spending. If both of these leaders are clueless, and pretty clearly, they are, why do you, why would you defend one so ardently?
