Obama's mentor "Frank"

That's sick. Kennedy family backing a man who dedicated a book to Sirhan Sirhan.

I can't think of anything more appalling.

Obama was fairly dismissive of his childhood mentor and role model referring to him only as "Frank" in his book "Dreams from My Father". Wanna know why? Frank
is actually Frank Marshall Davis, a life long Communist and pornographer who smoked pot with Obama's grampa Stanley Dunham. Dunham chose Davis to be Obama's black role model. He was about as savory as Maulana Karenga, the guy who served time for brutalizing two black women and also founded the black holiday of Kwanzaa.

I would have posted a link for Frank by I'm too new to be allowed that privilege.

From this, I take it that President Obama was not that impressed with the man.

No, not impressed at all. He only spent from age nine to eighteen with him.

Who was Frank? Obama only says that he had “some modest notoriety once,” was “a contemporary of Richard Wright and Langston Hughes during his years in Chicago…

Hmmm Chicago. Isn't that where Obama started his political career in the living room of bomb thrower Bill Ayers? What a coincidence.

This “Frank” is none other than Frank Marshall Davis, the black communist writer now
considered by some to be in the same category of prominence as Maya Angelou and
Alice Walker. In the summer/fall 2003 issue of African American
Review, James A. Miller of George Washington University reviews a book by John
Edgar Tidwell, a professor at the University of Kansas,
about Davis’s career, and notes, “In Davis’s case, his political
commitments led him to join the American Communist Party during the middle of
World War II-even though he never publicly admitted his Party membership.”

It gets better!

The “Red Army” poem goes beyond hoping for the communists to beat the Nazis in World War II and hails the Soviet revolution. It says:

“Show the marveling multitudes
Americans, British, all your allied brothers
How strong you are
How great you are
How your young tree of new unity
Planted twenty-five years ago
Bears today the golden fruit of victory!”
-- Obama’s Red Mentor Praised Red Army

:doubt:

Sounds like something RDean of Jillian might have posted today.
