Obama's Global Popularity Continues to Make Al Qaeda Nervous

Ah geez--give me a break. Infidels are infidels. They aren't nervous--Obama just gave them their own bill of rights--bascially handcuffing the CIA with their interrogations of these monsters.

Al Queda has lost it's popularity because they started attacking Muslims--killing them in mass--& for no other reason--that's why they are begging for recruits now.

Yep. That is why I believe the US can win the war of ideas because most people aren't normally atracted to radicalism. And that is why, IMO, it hurts to do stuff like torture because it blurs the distinction between the good guys and the bad guys.

We win by standing by what America stands for, not lowering ourselves to the level of the extremists. What Obama did helps us in the war of ideals.

Studies have shown that conservatives are more afraid of the world than liberals.

That's why they need guns and safety rooms.
Chris give us a link to one of these "STUDIES".....im sure you have read them or why would you mention them.....show us one please....

Deep-seated political differences aren't simply moral and intellectual: They're also biological.

In reflex tests of 46 political partisans, psychologists found that conservatives were more likely than liberals to be shocked by sudden threats.

Accompanying the physiological differences were deep differences on hot-button political issues: military expansion, the Iraq war, gun control, capital punishment, the Patriot act, warrantless searches, foreign aid, abortion rights, gay marriage, premarital sex and pornography.

"People are experiencing the world, experiencing threat, differently," said University of Nebraska political scientist John Hibbing. "We have very different physiological orientations."

The study, published today in Science, has not yet been duplicated, but adds a potentially troubling piece to the puzzle of biology, behavior and politics.

Conservatives Scare More Easily Than Liberals, Say Scientists | Wired Science from Wired.com
well the artical says that the 46 people were from Nebraska.....so does that mean its the same everywhere?.....i know some righties who go head on into a dangerous situation and some lefties who wilt....and vise versa.....so what is this thing saying.....here is an excerpt from a mag called the The Last Psychiatrist.....which also ran this and discussed it

(The methodology is fine-- but the interpretation is so demonstrably flawed that they are actually interpreting the results backwards.

Here's the most important line of all-- found only in the SA article-- in the second to last paragraph, of course:

People who leaned more politically left didn't respond any differently to those [scary] images than they did to pictures of a bowl of fruit, a rabbit or a happy child.

Really? Spider on face vs. happy child? No difference?

That extra bit of info doesn't even appear in the Science News story-- or anywhere else, for that matter.)

could it be that Liberals have no feelings?.....just sayin....

No, conservatives are more afraid.

That is why they need guns and Dick Cheney to protect them.

keep showing what a fucking moron you are

Someone please explain to me why they should be nervous? After all all they have to do is set back and wait a few years and the US will be as militarily impotent as Western Europe.

You can't do cradle to grave socialism of the sort Obama and the Dems are aiming at and maintain any kind of useful force projection capability. Then they can take their best shot at taking over the governments currently extent in the Middle east who are their real targets in all of this anyway.
