Obama's Conservative Opponents Cave-in on Debt Ceiling -- Again http://www.nytimes.com/2013/01/24/us/politics/house-passes-3-month-extension-of-debt-limit.html?

not that I think they should raise it, just that they keep the fringe base and a few fringe Congress people all hyped up with promises not to.

    :laugh2:

What will they do next? Agree to get rid of voting/voter laws they passed in FLA and other paces in order to keep Obama at one term? ( Rick Scott Disavows Role In Controversial Early Voting Law: ‘It Was Not My Bill )

Prior to 1974, Congress had no formal process for establishing a coherent budget. When newly-elected President Richard Nixon began to refuse to spend funds that the Congress had allocated, Congress adopted a more formal means by which to challenge him. The Congressional Budget Act of 1974 created the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) and directed more control of the budget to it and away from the President's Office of Management and Budget (OMB). The Act passed easily while the administration was embroiled in the Watergate scandal and unwilling to provoke Congress.[3] United States budget process - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Cave, not hardly, if fact they did pretty much what I told my congressman they should do. Now it's on the dems to commit to a budget.

They caved and any budget has to pass the Democratic led Senate.

Good luck with denial...it worked during the election, it will work now...eh? :eusa_whistle:

Too bad it’s not just a matter of the right coming to their senses, and being interested in practicing responsible governance for a change, in good faith, motivated by what’s best for America as opposed for the GOP.

    Oh, well.

The World Economy is waiting for America to get it's act together, maybe they will start looking elsewhere and then the Fear Brokers of the Right will have their nightmares come true

Their excoriated when they hint that they might not raise it, and when they do they are equally ridiculed. They should say no more raises without deep cuts - fuck off!
