Obama praises toothless climate pact - NYPOST.com

Copenhagen talks end with dud of a deal

WASHINGTON -- After a day spent frantically darting around Copenhagen trying to locate world leaders, getting snubbed by China's premier and crashing a meeting where he had initially been kept out, President Obama heralded a last-minute, largely toothless UN global-warming summit deal that drew fast fire from all sides as a sham.

...Obama may become known as "the man who killed Copenhagen," said Greenpeace US head Phil Radford, one of many activists to rap the president for the flimsy agreement with India, South Africa, Brazil and China, which thwarted the president throughout the conference.

...Friends of the Earth tore into the pact as well. "Climate negotiations in Copenhagen have yielded a sham agreement with no real requirements for any countries," the group said in a statement. "This is not a strong deal or a just one -- it isn't even a real one."

    Well done Mr. President!!!!

U.N. chief says 'we have a deal' on climate change - USATODAY.com

Another Diplomatic Coup for President Obama!

Yet in the end, nearly all 193 nations at the U.N. climate conference agreed to President Barack Obama's solution, which points toward deeper emissions cuts for rich nations but without mandatory targets that would draw sanctions.

Obama's successful 11th-hour bargaining Friday with China, India, Brazil and South Africa— the world's key developing nations — sets the stage for future cooperation between developed and developing nations. But the resulting "Copenhagen Accord" was protested by several nations that demanded deeper emissions cuts by the industrialized world and felt excluded from the major-nation bargaining process.

Cant imagine why developing nations would want to form an agreement that gives them billions in our money other than to fix climate change. It's definitely the climate that has them so eager to do this... right.

So lets see where we are..

What do Communist/Socialists Cuba and Venezuela have in common with the Republican Party?

They both tried to sabotage the American initiative to save the planet

Oh no! The problem was Papa Obama and the West were not giving them enough money

Believe me, if my fellow socialists were behaving like Republicans, I would Denounce Them!

Sad to say, since Papa Obama and the rest of the West is giving so little to the 3rd World with very little guarantees that they will even get the money, it would have made no difference if a Republican President had showed up instead!

Republicans side with Cuba and Venezuela in trying to destroy the global warming treaty!

What a pairing! Didn't you always know they were working together?

Similar to his health care debacle - the far left is angered over Obama's inept and empty Copanhagen speech, and the far right despises the fact he was too weak to avoid the empty trip to Copenhagen altogether.

Obama is stumbling around on the job every day now...
