Obama's blames our founding fathers--makes them the scapegoat.

Obama proves once again that he is NOT up to the enormous task of being President Of The United States.

This carpetbagger is whining and sniveling about not getting everything he wants, despite the fact that he has the "mainstream" news media COMPLETELY in his pocket, he had a Democrat-controlled U.S. Senate and U.S. House his first two years in office, and he still has a Democrat-controlled U.S. Senate.

Let's fact it, Barack Hussein Obama is the most INEXPERIENCED, COMPLETELY INEPT, and IMMATURE President the United States has EVER had. His resume' is as thin as the edge of razor blade.

But, he WILL get re-elected in November, so those of you who understand what a DANGEROUS IDIOT Obama really is, better prepare yourselves for four more years of colossal ineptitude and the inevitable economic and social collapse coming our way.

This comment suggests that Obama does not respect the U.S. Constitution something he swore an oath as President to defend.

is that what you get from that?

a normal person would probably say that he was faced with the fact that the constitution is designed so that change doesn't occur willy-nilly.

but good work. total obama deranged, rightwingnut hackdom at it's best.

you earned your pay for the day.

never said it was perfect.
Just that BO thinks it's upside down

Where has he ever said that?

Or do you just imagine what he thinks?

"I think the constitution says too much about what government can't do and doesn't do enough about what government should be allowed to do"

That's one helluva "soundbyte", there, my friend.....

He believes that government and, according to these recent remarks, himself isn't granted enough power to "fundamentally change" America.

I am thankful they don't have such power.

I'm sorry....you are missing a little something called context

Can we see the whole quote?

Sounds to me as if Obama is COMPLAINING that the Constitution has kept him from getting things done (the way he wants) and prevented him from delivering on his campaign promises. He is blaming the founding fathers for creating a sticky wicket through which he cannot maneuver with great ease.

Obama is a goddamned JOKE!

Obama's been on the record more than once about how inadequate he feels our constitution is
:eusa_shhh:

Yeah that whole thing about endorsing slavery and the slave trade kinda gives it an inadequate feeling, but thats just me I guess....

Challenge....show me where it endorses slavery and the slave trade....please.

....the continuance of slavery was clearly sanctioned in the U.S. Constitution, although the words slave and slavery are not found anywhere in the document. Section 2 of Article I states that apart from free persons "all other persons," meaning slaves, are each to be counted as three-fifths of a white person for the purpose of apportioning congressional representatives on the basis of population. Section 9 of Article I states that the importation of "such Persons as any of the States now existing shall think proper to admit," meaning slaves, would be permitted until 1808. And Section 2 of Article IV directs that persons "held to Service or Labour in one State, under the Laws thereof, escaping into another," meaning fugitive slaves, were to be returned to their owners.

Constitution On Slavery

:eusa_shhh:

Do you believe the Constitution, as originally written, was perfect?
I don't. Nothing is perfect.

I suspect that we all have different ideas about how to make it perfect. Obama has his own ideas about how to make it perfect...like to remove all obstacles in his way.

The Constitution does not need to be perfect. It just needs to remain as the obstacle keeping would-be dictators like Obama from taking complete control of the country.

Except for repealing the 16th Amendment, there is no need to change the Constitution.

I love the 16th amendment

I want to repeal the third amendment

Seriously?
You've never heard his radio interview??

Is ABC a good link for you?
"But," Obama said, "The Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth and sort of more basic issues of political and economic justice in this society. And to that extent, as radical as I think people tried to characterize the Warren Court, it wasn’t that radical. It didn’t break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the founding fathers in the Constitution, as least as it’s been interpreted, and Warren Court interpreted in the same way that, generally, the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties, says what the states can’t do to you, says what the federal government can’t do to you, but it doesn’t say what the federal government or the state government must do on your behalf. And that hasn’t shifted."

He then goes on to warn us that he doesn't plan on relying on the courts to make "fundamental change":

"Maybe I’m showing my bias here as a legislator as well as a law professor," Obama said. "I’m not optimistic about bringing about major redistributive change through the courts. The institution just isn’t structured that way."

that's not how i interpret what he said at all. he was saying that he was naive in thinking that he could come in and everyone would agree with him (and the way the government is setup, you can't just force your vision on everyone else).

i'm glad it's this way. can you imagine if a democratic or republican president could just come in and implement all the crazy stuff they wanna do. we would be 100 trillion in debt.

Wasn't he a lecturer on Constitutional law? I learned in civics that the Constitution makes it impossible for the president to just change things, why did Obama have to become president before he figured it out?

In a TODAY exclusive, Matt Lauer asked Obama about his supporters' disappointment over his first-term performance — that they believe he hasn't been "the transformational political figure they hoped you would be."

"What's frustrated people is that I have not be able to force Congress to implement every aspect of what I said in 2008," he said.

"That's just the nature of being president," he said. "It turns out that our founders designed a system that makes it more difficult to bring about change than I would like sometimes."

Obama on presidency:

The U.S. constitution--was designed to keep the Federal Government from taking over every aspect of citizens lives in this country--meaning yes it would be very hard for this socialist to navigate around it. One would think Obama being a "constitutional" scholar would know that. This comment suggests that Obama does not respect the U.S. Constitution something he swore an oath as President to defend.

Don't you just love election years? Yesterday Obama was forcing Catholics to give abortions, now he has apparently dug up and is raping our founding fathers. What's next? I suppose he will start palling around with terrorists again.

Screw the founding fathers! Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum hate middle class Americans.
