Not!
So obstructionism is voting against policies that they feel is not good for the American people? Or is that only when Republicans do it? What was it called when Democrats did it under Bush or Reagan? Civil defiance?
This is politics. You vote for the ideals that your constituents elected you for. I wouldn't expect a Democrat to vote for a tax cut no more than I expect Republicans in the House to vote for spending increases. Now normally that's where you would try to find a compromise but the Democrats have felt that since they have the majority in the Senate and executive branch, why should they compromise. That's when we get stalemate.
